The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Latest movie from Michael Mann, the totally awesome director who directed Collateral, Ali and god damn HEAT. This man knows crime drama.
It's the 1930s, and the roaring 20s have given away to the Great Depression. The Violent bank robber John Dillinger is causing havoc and making a name for himself in the public eye. To stop the reign of terror of Dillinger and others, the FBI steps up and declares the first "War on Crime," and assigns one of their best agents to take Dillinger down!
We have staring:
Jack Sparrow, AKA Johnny Depp
As John Dillinger, the FBI's first public enemy number one. He robs from the banks, and gives to himself. Topical.
Batman, AKA Christian Bale
As Melvin Purvis, the hunky FBI agent assigned to track him down. He'll probably have a gruff voice.
One Fine Lady, AKA Marion Cotillard
As Billie Frechette, Dillinger's lady friend. She's won academy awards for looking spectacular.
I saw this last night. it was really good. Of course I live in Crown Point Indiana and my Great Grandpa worked at the country jail when mr.dillinger escaped, so I'm biased to the subject matter. And man, Hoover was an asshole.
But...would there really be midnight showings of Public Enemies? Doesn't seem like that big of a movie.
durring the summer movie season theres midnight showings of EVERYTHING. Like we did one for Ice Age 3 and UP. Very much kid movies and what parent has their child out at midnight?
I honestly don't get what everyone is in a huff about.
Yes, it is a poor film.
But as a "Transformers" piece, it delivers.
It's just that "Transformers" is really nothing but eye candy to begin with. The story is beyond dumb. I think some of you are viewing it through rose tinted glasses.

was in this. Very nice.
Either way, despite what I feel about Michael Mann, there's no way I'm not seeing a Johnny Depp/Christian Bale movie.

I found myself agreeing with him more than not, so that's good.
