Before I scanned it I was actually thinking that same thing. I see it mostly in the lower portion of his legs, where I feel like I made a weird tangent between his right shin and left ankle, as well as the left forearm.
Man, I hate to always feel like I'm making excuses for my art, but I posted the first pass here, and mentioned I was intentionally exaggerating his proportions to make him seem huge.
Not saying I didn't botch that attempt though. Looking at him, he's about 7 1/2 - 8 heads tall, which seems within the realm of reasonable for comic book proportions.
i'd be interested in seeing that same drawing done traditionally
with real ink on like a nice textured paper.
though... i'm biased because i'm all into that now, but that sketch in particular would look real sharp i think.
or on watercolor paper.

you've been doing crack again, haven't you
are your results back?
I'm trying to figure out how that makes me sound like I'm on crack but I can't see it.
maybe that means I'm on crack.
no I should have them on tuesday, but negative results for a test like this mean jack shit. they had to test my mom 5 or more times to get a definitive yes.

Disjointed choppy language, but then I guess I could say that about all of SE++.

Hey that looks pretty good! The hair on his arms does kinda look like he's been scratched up a lot, though, as it looks almost the same colour as the scar on his face.
that does look good, man. I would darken the arm hair, and push it more towards brown, and maybe darken the scar and push it more towards red. neither really show up on the 1x views. also, if you plan on having any dark backgrounds, you might want to lighten the highlight on the front brim.
This is way better than what you had before. I'm totally digging it.
I guess leaving Photoshop open for 5 days straight can create problems. I haven't had PS crash on me since the 6.x days. Laaaame. I know I saved recently, but I forget how recently...
DMAC- I'm digging it. Great clean hatching you have there. Especially like the way you inked the hair. It has a classic look to it, something you'd see from someone like Milton Caniff.
Delz- In the dog sprite you should darken his back leg and arm. In the cowboy, his back leg and arm are much darker, and you want to keep that same level of shadow pretty consistent since these characters will be on the same plane.
keeping with the freaky zombie kid theme here is a new one im working on. Feedback on Anatomy above the waist would be great as I am using minimal references Im about 40 minutes in so far

I was kind of going for a Doug Mahnke-esque, my-dudes-are-five-heads-wide-at-the-shoulders kind of exaggeration.

I don't mean like you're drawing a third grade level.
It just has that same feeling, and subject matter, but of a higher quality, and refinement.
The nostalgia is startling. Your name isn't Michael, is it?

Sorry this can't be a magical PA reunion moment..... my name is Jay..but i KNOW a guy named michael!! maybe........
I hope you like it. I'm just trying to draw something other than people.
the maxx totally doesn't get enough love these days.

We should hold a "no lupus so far" party
Just 20 or so more...
For the player...
And god knows how many for the enemies...
hurgh

Edit: Good, recently enough.
Edit: Now with pixely goodness
Buckle up!
-also on the sprite of the dog I think the white on the feathers stands out too much where every other colour is quite calm.
Buckle up!

edit: oh i see
I miss your stuff like this.
Are you suggesting Abe Lincoln is the devil?
you know...totally platonically
and you have to hold me while you draw.
sort of like, cirque du soleil with drawing.
