you ever put together a tutorial or walkthrough on your coloring method? I'd love to see how you go about it.
I had done a little tutorial a few years ago but keep meaning to do something new. Usually I'm just setting the pencils/line art to multiply and working on a single color layer underneath, often with a the background on its own layer behind that.
This was something I posted on another forum showing how the little Dragonborn portrait I did looked as pencils/color/combined:

So magic, is what you are saying. You are a wizard.
how much of the original pencil do you retain, or do you end up doing all that in photoshop
do you use custom brushes, or...? Your work is so consistently clean, it is staggering
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. The pieces I've been doing for your game are just straight-up pencil drawings. The Dragonborn is just a pencil drawing with digital color underneath. Stuff like the M&M pieces I posted are pencil drawings with more comic book "cell shaded" digital color using a combination of hard-edged brushes and soft brushes to blend and add gradients.
I've always had a pretty steady hand and good control. People always mistake my pen and ink stuff for vectors/digital ink. Even stuff like this is just hand inked and then scanned in and colored using my tablet and Photoshop.
Also, Quetzi, is the game on or off today? I seem to recall off.
Good question!
I'm currently trying to coerce my friend to actually leave her house and not be a lonely shut in all summer. I'm feeling relatively successful right now, but stay tuned for emergency game-related bulletins

he's not a highlander, he's a lowlander
guess what you get to cut off

A magician gives you a ring that, when worn, will let you see the world as it truly is.
However, the ring will never leave your finger, and you will be unable to ever describe to another living person what you see.
how do you get such ridiculously clean lines with a damned pencil?
you using a mechanical 2b? Or what?
Nah, just a regular Staedtler 4H pencil. I like drawing with a hard lead so that it's easier to erase. I adjust the levels to darken the lines up when I scan it. I keep meaning to pick up a decent mechanical pencil to try. I haven't drawn with one since high school.
what makes you two think you could kill DMAC anyway
two chumps trying to take on the highlander
you guys aren't even worth the montage where he kills all the crappy immortals to get more powerful

So, while I was tooling around trying to make this weeks encounter more interesting, I accidentally made it fuckawesome and over the top.
Thing is, it'll be tight timelines to put some props together before Thursday, so I'm not sure whether I should go ahead with it now, or put it aside as idea to be able to do it justice at a later point.
Hrmmm....
Does anyone know some quick and easy D&D battlemat-friendly papercraft sites? I might want some props.

guess what you get to cut off

Can we take his eye next? It might have special powers too.
perhaps you and i will need to duel to settle this matter
to the victor goes the spoils of artistic skill
your line control is incredible
I thought those were digital drawings, for sure

pony I will not fight you, you will tear out my spleen and eat it raw like that Ultimate Survivor guy on the Discovery Channel

you think i play fair?
i'm like that guy in the TV series who shows up to an immortal battle with 20 guys with assault rifles
and just gun my opponent the fuck down until he is laying on the ground, not dead but incapacitated
and then i behead him
sure, the other immortals might hate me for it
but fuck em
there can be only one, anyway
I prefer sniper rifles
one shot and they go down
they might get back up again later
but the headache is gonna stay with em for a while
You'd have Pip, Me and Marsh!
and maybe Mori? or was it Janson?
anyways cool people
quick question
are you
at this moment
wearing a flannel shirt
this sound like a game in the southern bay area
am I correct in assuming this

are you
