I had a bad night as pyro the other night. This one soldier I kept getting the drop on at close range killed me five times with crit rockets over the course of only two maps. Only one of those was from a kritzkrieg. And it's not like he was ripping up my team and getting a crit bonus or anything, the stars just aligned for him.

Updates to Team Fortress 2 and Day of Defeat: Source have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Updated PL_Hoodoo. Changes from community mapmaker Tim Johnson:
"Added a balcony at 2-1 that I've rotated and cleaned up so it's a much better point, it attracts less sentry spam but is still holdable. 2-2 has a bit more breathing room and the one way route between BLU/RED spawn in stage 3 has gone and in its place some stairs up to the second level accessible from BLU's side."
Added "tf_ctf_bonus_time" ConVar to set the CritBoost bonus time for capturing the intelligence (0 to disable it)
Added "tf_arena_first_blood" ConVar to toggle the first blood feature in Arena mode (0 to disable it)
Added missing snowpuff particles for DX8 players
Fixed rocket jumping

Good engineers put an entrance at the forward base and an exit at spawn and pull the old switcheroo on the spy themselves. did that once earlier on dustbowl 3. With 5 other tele pads they never even notice.
So, when I was in Indy for GenCon, walking to the convention center and back to my hotel, I had to pass this building.
Every time I go by it, I can't stop and think it's a bloody RED factory/secret base.
there's an abandoned chalk quarry near a restaurant here that i always want to explore in case there is a secret reinforced door leading to a low-lit intelligence room, and not thousands of rapists instead
the same goes for killing scouts and snipers, although I love sandman scouts as a soldier now. Just fire a rocket someone and *pop*
Actually king of the hill has proven, at least on pubs, to be a Sandman wielding scout's dream. Just launch that shit anywhere near the point and BONK. It's really nice they gave you points for doing so, because you can't go anywhere near the hill with 95 hp. But launching those balls as a kind of stun artillery is surprisingly satisfying. Plus if the shit hits the fan, you can clear the area fastest.
On balance though, I'd prefer the extra health and still lose the double jump. 95hp is way to fragile. Also, they took away my sweet FAN triple jumps. I was super slick at that, doing a 180 in mid air off my double and gaining another boost of forward momentum. It was fun traversing the levels too so speedily.

I love the third one in the narrow hall where the spy with the engi mask just pops into place as the engi dies
Also he's playing against some grade A retards. He stood on the teleporters as they were all sapped in front of multiple enemies and they just stood there

It means you and the server are running two different versions. If you just patched you have to wait for the server to patch.
