See all those sparks coming off his glove? Bayism.
"Yeah...I mean, no, yeah, yeah, yeah they're sparks but can they be..."
"Bigger? *sigh*"
"Yeah, yeah bigger with an explosion or two and maybe a girl can thrust her chest forward a bit and...and..."
"And get wet?"
"Yeah, yeah, wet and then..."
"She explodes"
"See? See? THIS, THIS right here is why you are my hairdresser"

TBH it looked KIND of ok but I dont recall Krueger being such a pussy in his human life which makes me think they're going "The parents were the real villains" route and humanising the villain. Didn't get a good look at his face dunno if anyone has a high res source but it looked kinda tame compared to regular Krueger.
wasn't Freddy like a child rapist or something? Making him the misunderstood or wrongly accused seems kind of dumb
also i think Krueger had Todd Mcfarlane Spawn face
I think making him wrongly accused adds another layer of complexity, which I like. I recognize that there are other cases of wrongly murdered people seeking revenge as undead monsters in the horror genre as well, of course, but the serial killer who is just plain EVIL is far more common.
I agree with the complaint on the children singing songs. Kids just seem like a cheap and lazy shot at being scary, and usually it doesn't work... like in this trailer.
I don't think kids are creepy. I just think they're stupid. Stupid, little people.
Still, if the creepy kids singing a creepy song thing wasn't such a cliche, it might work here. Kruegger's pretty directly derived from the childhood concept of the Boogie Man and the fear that comes from lying in bed alone and wondering if you're going to have a nightmare, and a scary lullaby builds on that.
In the original they were creepy because they only appeared in faded, hazy dream world singing a creepy song and you knew they were victims of Freddy. In that trailer they appear clear as day and it looks like in real life delusions.

He was a child murderer who got free on a technicality.
Wes Craven apparently wanted to make him a child molester but there was a bunch of real life molestations in California at the time and he didn't want to be seen as exploiting that.
in fact aside from Freddy being maybe wrongly accused, nothing seemed like it wasn't from the original
plus I love the fact that the stars of Supernatural are now the stars of every slasher movie remake
lol, so true.
It seemed ok but theres a definite different feel about human Krueger. Englund is creepy in and out of makeup. Though yeah, Rorschach is definitely more paedophile.
I assume he is guilty or the little skipping girls don't make sense.
Well im not going to do screen caps of one and the other but Im pretty sure the original is metal scraping on metal and the other is metal on metal while being 'enhanced'. Its not big enough to fight about and was mostly just a joke anywya.
Eh, he doesnt look as good as Englund or Englunds Krueger but it looks a lot better than the Halloween or Friday the 13th remakes, I just hope they don't make it PG13.
I assume you're just stoking the fires now because the remake was almost as bad as the Halloween remake, it was fucking terrible.
Aliens and Predator shouldnt have been PG-13 bu there it was, its one of the less likely films to go there but young teens are where the money is for summer horror.
I didn't think either the Halloween or Friday the 13th remakes were that bad. I don't think they were as good as the originals but they weren't terrible either.

I respectfully disagree. The "decompression" jokes got old quickly.
However, this ain't the bitching thread, so I won't continue here.
he is voiced by the guy who voiced superman's father in Superman: The Animated Series
also episode 3 of Superhero Squad is pretty awesome as it is all about MODOK and Silver Surfer being depressed
His nose itches. Constantly.

She burned herself with a car cigarette lighter.

also it is actually a bit strange to have the BAS people voicing characters that are darker than their animated counterparts

he did that all the time and it was always about that many sparks
Steam - Talon Valdez :Blizz - Talonious#1860 : Xbox Live & LoL - Talonious Monk @TaloniousMonk Hail Satan
He had sparks but they showed it a few times in that trailer, looked like a saw cutting metal.
they were always that crazy
because if not it would be boring to look at
gonna argue about everything
Which its going to be.
or any of the horror remakes this year
also friday the 13th remake was rad as hell
Aliens and Predator shouldnt have been PG-13 bu there it was, its one of the less likely films to go there but young teens are where the money is for summer horror.
you are just dumb
the friday the 13th remake is literally just another friday the 13th movie
