Aw now I want a birthday/Valentine's surprise like Dr. Z's or Zen's. They both sound so sweet! 10 out of 10 for creativity you guys :D

My next trip to england we'll get something set up.

Now, I mean, you've got to be cool with my girl also being there (not the same from the stories), but hey...she could be into it, I suppose. :winky:

    Oh my!

Really I was just referencing going to a pub or doing something quintessentially english, but hey whatever works for you.

I actually have the perfect idea for Valentines.

It even works despite the fact that she doesn't even really like Valentine's and it's usually the day they give her a double shift at work

I tried doing something romantic once. I went to spend time with a girl who I had gotten together with over Christmas break, and left a pretty drawing for her hidden in her room. It was for Valentine's day, but she never found it, so I had to go heavy on the hints.

I did basically the same thing with a journal I got her, by hiding a picture behind a front page cover thing. I'm just really good at hiding stuff, I guess.

For my wife's birthday (yesterday) I had gotten her a customized romance novel from here. It's just your typical romance novel trash but she loved it anyway. Now I'm out of ideas for Christmas and Valentine's day besides some sort of jewelry. :D

I live in the fucking BIRTHPLACE of romanticism but all I managed recently was going out with my GF to the christmas market. Luckily for me, she's not that much into the whole candlelight-dinner-and-poems stuff. She prefers a nice, unexpected bar of chocolate once in a while. I think the key to modern romanticism is starting of slow, with small gifts that come without a specific reason. Those dinners come much later.

I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.

a lot of the hate stems from the fact that it idealizes an abusive relationship and also is a thinly veiled mormon morality tale
