It would be a relatively cheap combo, the guy only has three charms to use in combat(one buff charm he used before, two useless charms, and an Ox-Body, then for combat he has the first excellency, mountain-toppling method, and Stone Dragon's Skin) but DBs are slightly more willpower+xp efficient when it comes to layering charms.
Just as a note, The Monk is at the far end of the hallway, so meleeing him will require a Dash action to reach him first.
You've got a couple of guards up in your grill who could be a problem, but since The Monk is advancing slowly up the corridor rather than dashing, he's open for now.
Any shot will get a -1 penalty because Ketan is there with his big spear and it's not that wide a corridor, but that's a mere -1.
Strategery (I may be gone late tonight and don't wanna slow things down)
If EV and Gyler don't take a big chunk out of the DB:
- Tsas Khan will attack DB with Trance of Unhesitating Speed, three attacks, 6 motes.
If EV and Gyler DO take a big chunk out of the DB:
- Tsas Khan will use a flurry of arrows to attack the two guards
- if an attack hits Tsas Khan and damage will be rolled, he will use Iron Skin Concentration
Sorry for my delay guys, on the bus to work right now so I don't have access to all the information I need to take my turn. So if Rainfall wouldn't mind NPCing my turn by having me attack a few of the guards with thrown daggers I'd appreciate it.
I doubt I'd be able to post from work today and I don't want to stall the group any longer, especially since I wouldn't get home until around 6ish.
edit: Nevermind, I managed to take a few minutes to make a quick post. Unfortunately the guard who hurt Gyler was the one I was hoping to kill, not the other one. Oh well.
I might be partying or sleeping heavily tonight after getting done telling The Man what I think of his fascist standardized tests meant to stifle creative thought and assess readiness for medical school entrance.

Bleh, new personal rule for me: write the dramatic action first, then edit the end to reflect your roll. Doing it the other way around just leaves me brainless after rolling. At least, that's what I'm going to blame it on.
My policy when making rolled actions is to write your dramatic action just up to the point where you make your roll(s).
That way, you get your stunt dice and allow yourself to do cool stuff - and if something goes wrong like a bad roll, it's up to Rain to figure out something external to your character to explain it, instead of risking your character being (gasp) not awesome.
Both Ketan and my health levels would vastly prefer you to blow a bunch of your excess personal motes in a sweet flurry on this guy. Even just essence ping from 3 attacks should be enough to reliably knock him out of the fight.
There's just one guard left, so he's not a huge deal, especially once he sees his boss go down. It might even be dramatically appropriate to let him live, so we can cut open some locks and leave his fate up to the prisoners.
You're reading Arrow Storm technique. You can apply Trance to the same enemy.
It's Accuracy Without Distance that's the perfect attack. There is no Wind is just a sorta-mediocre prerequisite that allows you to nullify penalties to your attack, which is useful for attacks that might be ludicrously impossible to do without a charm. Stuff like firing an arrow in pitch black rain through a tiny gap in a window.
As long as you draw from personal essence, he won't be reacting with a charm to your attacks due to three attacks not exceeding your rate and making the Trance obvious. Make sure to add your stunt die, and you should be good to get some solid hits in there.
In either case, all three attacks hit him without stunt dice (i like to let rainy be the arbiter of that but that's just me i guess) and the 1st is 5, second is 4, 3rd is 4.
...but I'm unsure of how much bonus successes to add to his damage rollz.
Exalts are allowed to parry ranged attacks with melee weapons because they're that awesome.
You got 1 threshold success on the first, and 0 on the next two, but you hit on them both. Now I remember how it works - your first success over the DV causes the hit, and every success afterwords is a threshold.
I'd repressed how Exalted's threshold success system worked because White Wolf pretty much realized it was really counter intuitive and kind of retarded, and they made it actually make sense in Scion with just a straight subtraction instead of more maths.
Also Rain didn't post following my attack with updated DV's, but I'm pretty sure it knocked him down into a lower penalty bracket so his DV's should have been even lower for both Ringo's and your attack.
I'd say hold off on rolling damage until Rain pokes her head in, so you can get your stunt dice as well as your true damage dice.
Shoe, you were, as they say, close enough. You didn't give yourself enough thresholds, but you forgot to adjust for Gyler being right in his face, so it evens out.
Ringo! Wound penalties are internal, and subtract from your dicepool! They aren't external, like PDV! You were right the first time! But since that just makes your dicepool larger, I'll let you keep the roll, because...
The Monk is down! Incapacitated and bleeding out, actually.

Oh, so the roll of 13d10 with 8 successes was valid? Nice.
So now I just need to keep rolling until I stop bleeding.
I don't think it says anywhere that you're bleeding.
It's The Monk that's bleeding to death, not you. You're made of tougher stuff than that.
I wonder what will happen to that lone surviving guard who managed to do 1L to me. Maybe he'll live out his days traumatized at the death of all his friends, a drunkard and a laughingstock that nobody believes when he says that he managed to wound an Anathema.

Well Technically, but really you have something like 25 rolls to get two successes before any negative effects kick in, so unless it's particularly critical, we can assume you'll get it right on one of those, and not have to slow down the dramatic momentum to bother with rolling.

Let's see something awesome.
That way, you get your stunt dice and allow yourself to do cool stuff - and if something goes wrong like a bad roll, it's up to Rain to figure out something external to your character to explain it, instead of risking your character being (gasp) not awesome.
would you rather see a trance of unhesitating speed on the DB
or a flurry to take out two pesky guards
(the Khan is not a damage machine, but he's at least accurate)
There's just one guard left, so he's not a huge deal, especially once he sees his boss go down. It might even be dramatically appropriate to let him live, so we can cut open some locks and leave his fate up to the prisoners.
Capturing your enemy is best, killing your enemy is second best.
That would be a pretty good way to make him talk.
"[The Khan] cannot apply this attack to a single person or human-sized object more than once."
I suppose I could send a single arrow of lots of motes of 1st Archery Excellency his way.
But his goddamn his reflexive charms. "There Is No Wind" reads funny... is it actually a "Perfect Attack"?
I say we take as many captives as we can carry back to the Khan's tent.
Then stockholm them good for getting more long-term intel.
The more the better.
Hell, if we could take this DB alive and imprison his ass... heh.
It's Accuracy Without Distance that's the perfect attack. There is no Wind is just a sorta-mediocre prerequisite that allows you to nullify penalties to your attack, which is useful for attacks that might be ludicrously impossible to do without a charm. Shit you're right... Trance it is!
Also in regards to There Is No Wind, i think i was thinking of "Accuracy Without Distance".
In either case, all three attacks hit him without stunt dice (i like to let rainy be the arbiter of that but that's just me i guess) and the 1st is 5, second is 4, 3rd is 4.

well they are a lot more intuitive on the damage stuff
I need to get my head around the ruleset again.
I think you got 1 threshold on the first attack, 1 on the second, and 2 on the third.
with his soak of 7, my str (3) plus the broadhead arrows (2) means...
my damage dice are zero or less than zero, even with my bonus successes
i don't get to roll damage
unless rainy rolls a few more successes by virtue of stunts
i mean it was worth a try and all that but goddamnit
So you'll always get at least 2 dice of damage.
That's what Essence Ping is.
We do need to get you some sort of awesome powerbow, however.
stuff like that is so easy to miss
I'd say hold off on rolling damage until Rain pokes her head in, so you can get your stunt dice as well as your true damage dice.
already made damerge rolls
maybe i will let rainy throw extra dice if i get them, and I will not post how badly the arrows fuck up the DB, that sorta thing
did at least 2 lethal to him though
Ringo! Wound penalties are internal, and subtract from your dicepool! They aren't external, like PDV! You were right the first time! But since that just makes your dicepool larger, I'll let you keep the roll, because...

Shoe, on The Monk you find:
Sandals(roughly made,) loose pants(also roughly made,) a rope belt(it's nice rope,) and his Jade Cestae(treat as Slayer Khatars.)
