So in one of my games the strangest ass thing happened overnight. Started a new game yesterday, was wheeling and dealing with coin trades, expanding into territory. Get up this morning to find that I've somehow been defeated and some other dude now has all my territory plus a bunch of surrounding territory that 1: there would be no way he could afford given the age of the game being less than a day, and 2: that he couldn't have moved troops fast enough to occupy. And my email says I conceded defeat, which I definitely did not do. Is it possible the game creator kicked me and had a buddy come in?
Derp, nevermind. Re-loaded the page and now it's fine.

I don't think so. I don't think the game creator has that power. Maybe he guessed your password?
So apparently ents can cast roots on themselves.. I was seeing if the zombie army was in range yet and somehow my mind went blank and I thought that the enchantment would cancel if I clicked on my ents again.
So now I have a army a 100 strong army of ents sitting rooted in between 2 cites, think I might win the dumb ass award for this game. Odd thing is it should last for 100 hours however it only seams to last for 29 (1d, 5h). This is my first time playing with them, anyone else notice that there roots don't last as long on zombies as they should or is this just something weird because the ents casted it on themselves?
I'm pretty sure that troops move on the hour. At the very least, it's not as granular as in Neptune's Pride, where they seem to move pretty much constantly.
Yeah, like in Anihilation we've got a big thread where everyone's been bartering off their wenches, and when someone's full up on trades they list who's getting what in which order.
Highlight the unit, then right beneath the link to read about the spell will be a button (showing the cost) to activate it. Unless it is still recharging, in which case you will instead see a count-down timer.
This sure has a lot of diplomatic potential for a co-op game.
Yeah, Penny Arcadia has been pretty tame and zombie-focused, but everyone in Isle of Sodor has been up in each other's shit right from the get go. I could totally see us getting overrun by zombies while we fight each other for territory.
What's the deal with differing army starting strengths? i'm playing a game as dwarves and getting bent over by rampaging zombies, just started another one as elves, and they start with over 3x the amount if units/army strength as dwarves and it doesn't look like they'll have problems with anything. Are dwarves just the masochist race?

I'll send out 21 green asap.
This game needs to get started, I have so many damn trades to manage.
It's already going, dood.
I grabbed an elf city and have my armies on the march!

In twenty hours I should have four more cities.
Whee.
Oh and maybe I'll have to fend off a horrible zombie invasion at some point.
But fuck those guys.
But as you can see coin totals you are free to call someone a goose if they sit on the 65 yellow they promised you for a day and a half.
Some of us are already posting our trade lists publicly so everyone knows when, roughly, they can expect their stuff to arrive.
Though what's this about posting trade lists publicly? As in cc'ing them to everyone, I guess?
I'd want to join the next PA game but I'm too poor to buy a key!

(if I start another game it's going to be titled "I think I might have a problem.")
Yes.
Another question! How do you activate a unit's spell?
Just having trouble finding the "Bathe the enemies of the orcs in a fiery shamanic wind" button.
Looks like they're all recharging.
Yeah, at the start of the game all units are at 1/2 cooldown.

For those of you who don't know, that's you're standard free-for-all like Neptune's Pride, except there's ALSO zombies to deal with.
That sounds fantastic.
All up ins. So sad all the gobbo spots were taken.
Nope - didn't get in this time. G'luck, y'all!

You'll definitely win any battle where your strength is at least theirs + 6*(number of dice they have)
Where your strength is Strength + (number of dice) + (fortifications if you are on defense)
Be careful with this calc, though - some units (Orcs, Men, Gnome-blessed, and Zombie Men) have dice-roll modifiers.

They are always in the favor of the player though, with the exception of the undead gnomes. At least as far as I know.
