What I want is 2460 points from bioware but I doubt I will bring myself to buying it. That is Overloard, Shadowbroker, Leliana's Song and Witch Hunt.
I was in the weird position of considering buying dragon age ultimate for $25 when it was on sale. It would have been cheaper than buying all the DLC individually.
If I had more self control I would just wait a year till the GOTY editions come out for all the dlc in one bundle.
I think the ME2 DLC is being heavily discounted over the next two weeks, but just for a day.
what, really?

can you like page me when this happens?
There have been some clues as to which games are being discounted, for one day only, over the Christmas period. One of them pretty clearly points to ME2. Can't remember which day offhand.
Are Darksiders or Operation Flashpoint worth getting?
Darksiders is one of my favorite games of this last year. Its GoW and Zelda combined. The game is a lot of fun, the world was well developed and ends on one of the best moments in a game in a long time. Though really its a game that requires a gamepad and would do less on a keyboard and mouse in my opinion.

so Darksiders is recommended, eh?
Yup, its kind of an over the top silly story but soooooooooo worth it.

I don't see why you're being so stingy about this. It's really, really good content and you're treating it like some kind of scam.
I do not like this general direction in games. This is certainly not as bad as Horse Armor or Fable III's black dye pack, but it's an irritating trend that I choose not to support.
I've been wondering about this for a bit: what's the difference between DLC like the extra missions in ME2 and the expansion packs of PC gaming?
I mean, bundle them all together and you've got probably a full expansion pack worth of missions or at or a little under the same price you'd find expansion packs for if I remember right

I was mad at obama for not doing things and then he suddenly went and did things and now I'm confused
It's been a damned weird December.
As much as people shit on him, Obama in 2 years fighting a propaganda network and a party voting in lockstep opposition to things they want, has done a lot. More so then any other president in recent memory, and thats also in the face of the worst economy since the fucking great depression.
But god damn is he an awful president I'll you what.
i've been really impressed with him. for as much as his political style is deningrated by liberals, he has had an incredible number of significant accomplishments in this term. if everything wasn't as good as liberals would have liked, it's worth remembering that about 75% of the population of this country was either in staunch opposition to anything happening or so cynical, removed and indifferent to government action that they couldn't even be bothered to vote in the first place.
You know what? Fuck it. It's decided: I'm doing a (rail)road trip in January. To hell with being responsible and focused on the job hunt; I can apply for things via wi-fi while bumming around the East Coast.

Amen Will, sadly on the left we are in the minority, or rather the vocal minority. I guess Rachel Maddow after a week of talking up the accomplishments of this congress actually admitted she had pretty much shit on them for most of the year and was a major hypocrite complimenting them after believing them completely incapable.

I don't really buy expansion packs unless they come bundled with the game, for similar reasons, or unless they can stand on their own, like with Dawn of War. I like to play through a game once, do everything that can be done with that game, and then move on.
DLC may appeal to people who like to revisit games from time to time, but I almost never revisit things.
As far as I'm concerned, at best DLC makes for several-month-long download times.
Huh. I know a 20 year old girl who still plays Neopets really intently.
I play neopets cause it is a cute and relatively easy way to play puzzle games and feel like I get some tangible thing out of it, like buying imaginary food for a pretend cute animal. I know, I know, I am a retard
Yeah but this girl is in a Facebook war with another girl over who got a better prize from a Neopets vending machine. Like they are breaking out 'cunt' and 'bitch' over this.
I think my annoyance is less with what he has accomplished especially since this last week has made me feel better but more with the lack of political savvy the democrats including the white house have shown in exploiting what they have done and being more aggressive.
But I am maybe not super happy but I am pleased with him and the congress at the moment. Give it time and they will scew that up since they always do. Its the way of politics.
I bet mccain would have repealed dadt sooner if he were president
At the very least his recent honesty should finally put the bullet in the idea that McCain was ever someone democrats could grudingly accept. The man is slime, always has been, always will be.

I am sorta the same way. I play the shit out of a game and then leave it. But it's usually a year and a half+before all the DLC is out and goes on sale, so if i like the game it makes sense to play through it again. especially if there's an alignment system

Stupid people have small vocabularies and no sense of nuance so they just go for the easiest cuss word to pronounce for everything.

Perhaps this line of thinking is counterintuitive to getting good policy, just a thought, just a thought.

That's not actually true when you look at individual issues, just group labels. And group labels are terrible at determining political outlook. Hell, I could easily self-identify as a conservative even though I'm Socialist McCommie-pants in comparison to the most liberal Republican.
I am obviously not the best person to speak on such things but I feel like Obama is basically laying the tracks for history instead of getting everything done in one fell swoop and then getting voted out by moderates. He is playing the long game, it feels like.

it would be much better if Obama was president of the United States of the West Coast and California, Washington, and Oregon just seceded from the rest.

There was a subsentence right after that moniker. The vocal progressives shout down people like Will and myself, on this board even. You can't hardly mention Obama did well without someone crying he didn't do anything ignoring all the good work he's done.
The line of thinking seems to be any failure is his alone and any succcess had nothing to do with him and thats fucking tiring.

This certainly explains the weapon DLC.

YESSS! Make sure to also do it loudly while looking at a minority and complain about social services.

Darksiders is my favorite Zelda game.
I think a lot of the frustration comes from like
CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN
YES WE CAN
and then you get into it and it's like
oh washington is still full of dickheads
I gobbled it up as soon as I saw that sale on Steam. I've been waiting for it to go to $15 but oh man $10 yes please.
