So I just was catching up on the thread - why is MODOK's jamming bomb the "worst idea in any fighting game ever".
Do you mean worst idea, like I shouldn't use it because it's going to leave me open or something else I'm not realizing?
Or do you simply mean worst idea because I will totally shut down the 100 hit combo you memorized, leaving you wide open to be embarrassingly punished by a giant head with baby legs?

Because it's a gimmick that can potentially become useless once the game gets old enough; one where you can hit the opponent and he has so much experience he can continue playing normally .
However, for the rest of the non-dedicated-for-life players, it completely shuts down the game because it feels like it takes the controls away from you if you havent dedicated enough time to learn how to play with flipped controls.
Having my controls swapped in Guitar Hero Vs mode was one of the most unenjoyable things I've experienced in a video game.

Jamming Bomb - even if it's just a momentary disorientation and the player knows how to operate their character perfectly with reversed controls, it will surely break up an offense or screw up a defense for a moment. And in this game, a moment is all you need.
I know to most of you fighting vets this next note is probably Basics 101, but I just figured out how to dash cancel into my normals. I felt like I just discovered the cure for cancer. Combined with the speed and amazing range of her standing L and other basic attacks, this is huge for my Felicia game.
It always puts a smile on my face when people scream, "I've never seen ANYONE win with Felicia!" over voicechat. She really is amazing if you put work into her.

I dont see why that's any different than when I come in and say "Its impossible to get in on Ammy's whip bullshit that 30 hit combos me" or "Deadpools BANG BANG BANG move over and over with Sentinel's assist means I cant do shit."
The response when I've posted those things has always been "learn how to deal with it.

I had a Felicia almost end me the other day. I butchered his point and second. Out comes Felicia, X-factored, and she ripped my poor Zero and Hulk apart.
Wesker outlasted the X-factor and put an end to her, but even he got hurt.
It was horrifying.

I'm pretty sure one of the top ranked people in the world uses Felicia currently. At least that's what I remember when I looked at the leaderboards yesterday
So I bought this game after playing with some friends. I then played online...
Ive never been more thuroughly trounced in anything ever.
I think the problem was that I was trying to open up attacks/combos with heavy or medium attacks and just getting pwned by my opponent sneaking in a light to start their combo.
Like, I played a number of rounds where I felt like I couldnt land a single hit on my opponent. Am I mistaken in assuming that light attacks will get in faster and better then medium/heavy?
My play against normal/hard cpu improved drastically when I switched to opening with light. I havent had the balls to go back online yet. Since, itll take a while for them to drop again. (my balls that is, they retreated up due to the ass whoopin i receieved)

Its slightly more complicated than that. Light attacks tend to start faster than medium and hard attacks, but that doesn't matter if your opponent started their move first. Basically, you shouldn't be counting on having your attacks come out first. What you should be trying to do instead is getting your opponent to block the wrong direction to start your combo. While you're blocking attacks, you'll probably be at a frame disadvantage (if you're opponent isn't throwing out punishable moves). This means that any move you stick out will lose. What you should do is pushblock your opponent away, then try to start your own offense.
Here's the best thing in the world I just pulled off with Felicia:
Dash cancel into standing light, combo into launcher, aerial combo back to ground, double dash forward into heavy command throw, dash into Toy Touch, reset into heavy Cat Spike which scored a ground bounce, level 3 Hyper.
So long Akuma. Raped by Cat Girls, but what a way to go.
Also I think I saw Seth say in an interview somewhere that Capcom felt he was pretty popular here in the states.
I don't remember if this was from a comment or from the interview itself but I think the reasoning is that the west liked frank west because his name literally has the word "west" in it.
If that's true then I don't even know what to think anymore.
So I've been trying to catch up with this thread (still like 30+ pages to go) but regarding the character polls, why all the hate against Carnage? I think he would be a cool character, and one that hasn't been in a Vs. game.
But then again, I was never huge into comics so I'm sure there's a lot of stuff I don't know about. Fill me in!

Yup! It looks just like the Sparda costume you could unlock in the first DMC game.

Not really interested in this pack but that's not to say that future packs might not grab me.

How is MODOK on this list.
MODOK is everything that is fun about superhero comics.

Shuma is also rad.

That's like a hat trick or something
he's a goddamn head with stupid, tiny arms and legs
half-naked cat girl with the voice of a 12-year old and what seems to be the mind of a child
do not want
And technically, Felicia is fully naked.
My team so far has her, Dante, and Deadpool
Hah, that's weird - that's the team I was using last night.
Felicia has a special place in my heart since she was my main on Darkstalkers back in the day. Nothing like a rolling ball of fur (barely) and claws.

Akuma
Captain America
C. Viper
X-23
Hulk
Felicia
Morrigan
I was expecting to like Deadpool but i am disappointed.
i also bet that i'm not going to risk looking for it.
