Loot doesn't really mean much to me, and I'd rather do an older boss with interesting and fun mechanics than a new boss that's just stupid all for items which will be outdated in 3 months anyway.
But ultimately, I just like having fun with other shamblers, and if other shamblers are having fun with DS heroics, that's what's actually matters.
yes exactly
I love LFR because it lets me destroy more content since I don't consistently have time to raid with my superbros. I don't give a shit about new purps, that's just more money I have to spend transmogging to Judgement.
That's fair
I tend to get bored without challenge, so wiping doesn't really bother me, as long as we're not just spinning our wheels. Annoying mechanics are definitely a thing, but learning fights does require failing, followed by compensating. It's really only when the second part doesn't happen does it become kind of a chore
I used to play WoW for the challenge but after raiding and PvPing long enough I just stopped caring. I enjoy new mechanics in fights because I'm there to have fun but really I feel like I've already proven myself and grinding on bosses because not everyone is on the same page really doesn't feel like a fun use of my time.
What is a fun use is being a Paladude and healing everybody with my shiny sparkles!
Unless the group is deliberately wiping I don't mind doing anything as long as people have fun.
Unless it turns into a 3 hour wipe fest like most of vanilla raiding (or at least parts).
ugh dude you don't even know
the guild i was in before shambler milk
we spent three hours wiping on the golems in bwd
and three hours wiping on that weird abomination thing
they hadn't cleared the first tier by the time firelands came out
and they followed me to cho'gall to try and get me back, like brought the whole guild, because i had led their only successful raid, temple of the four winds
and that was when it was new content!

Man that's insane. But I have something not even close but kind of funny.
Back when I started playing WoW I was on Skullcrusher and my friends started playing months after I did. However they are all idiots or something and instead of rolling on the server I was on they went to Daggerspine. So I played for a year or two until they opened paid transfers and I went over to join my bros. Now my time on skullcrusher I did all of MC, BWL and half of AQ 40 and my friends guild on Daggerspine hadn't even killed Rag so thats cool I could help them!
They proceeded to take my advice and eventually cleared all of BWL and then we entered into AQ40. Here is where the fun begins. That guild never made it past the first boss. We spent hours wiping on it and the trash in that instance respawned after 40 minutes so we constantly had to reclear it. The most annoying part is at 75 50 and 25% the first boss makes 3 clones of him self and you have to tank the correct one and kills the clones. However the raid leader never ever listened to me and insisted you did not need to kill the clones.
I even linked him the staff I was using which was from the boss we where fighting and told him exactly how to do the fight.
They never did get to see the second boss. Which is a shame because the bug family is interesting and the Battleguard is a really fun fight.

This could have been my fault being shitty heals. Almost definitely was since my BC guild actually progressed some when I wasn't there. But I was like 14 so.

Honestly the only reason I didn't want to spec it was because I was stubborn, but in the end it's just a game and I want to help my guild out as much as possible. Pulled 36k in LFR by the time Deathwing died on Madness, so that is pretty cool. The rotation is also fairly easy. It's mostly casting Cobra Shot while waiting for cooldowns.
Spine is pretty fun, except when the tank runs the big add through the bloods and gets 9 stacks almost instantly and kills the raid because your third healer decided to see if his Paladin's T13 look would let him fly.
technically higgins did fly for at least a little bit

Just not when they won't stop killing themselves.

Yep. My old guild had a race going during wipes where the Warlocks tried LT/HF themselves and the healers keeping them up.

Then I remember that I've already got one Paladin and don't want to gear up another one.
But one paladin's not enough.
I start looking for Earth Shield and Chain Heal and totems.
Last time I checked I've got 14 of them. Totally lamenting that none of Worgen, Goblin, or Pandaren got to go paladin.
Valor capped with 50 more needed to buy my helmet. THIS GAAAMMMEEE

In MoP, is anything changing for Feral and Balance Druids with respect to them almost never being able to see their damn gear?
That annoyed the hell out of me, I was sad when they let restoration druids see their gear but no one else
yes. They're updating moonkin forms and also adding a glyphed form that doesnt transform you into a bird
