This is the thread where you ask questions about things you are too lazy to look up.
"Why did Aunt May marry Doctor Octopus?" is a good example.
"What happened to cause Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk to be delayed so much?" is another good one.
This is not a chat thread, do not treat it as such.
Can somebody summarize the events of the recent story arc from the B.P.R.D. comics?
Like, I need to know what lead up to
[spoiler:303ee0e506]the heavy loss of field agents, as well as Roger's apparent demise and Kate Corrigan and Abe Sapien's leave of absence (which I figured out through wikipedia, but I'm looking for more details)[/spoiler:303ee0e506]
(also Mani I saw the video clip of you on the Amazing Race site and you are a pretty cool dude and I wanna meet you sometime)

Weird. I didn't know it was still up. There's a guy in South Africa who emails me for an autograph like once a month, but I'm too lazy to send him anything.

[spoiler:6a60de4abb]the heavy loss of field agents, as well as Roger's apparent demise and Kate Corrigan and Abe Sapien's leave of absence (which I figured out through wikipedia, but I'm looking for more details)[/spoiler:6a60de4abb]
[spoiler:6a60de4abb]I'm not sure how far you've gotten in BPRD, but it's been pretty amazing. Abe didn't leave so much as went off active duty, staying in the office and stuff, and Kate never left as far as I know.
Abe went off active duty after the events of The Dead, where he met his long-dead wife and had to convince her to move on instead of living forever in an illusion of the life they both once had. This got him all fucked up emotionaly, as is to be expected. During The Black Flame, Roger starts patterning himself after Diamio, and becomes essentialy his second-in-command of kicking Frog Monster ass. BPRD is all over the globe killing frogs by the bucketload. Howver, unbeknost to anyone, the guy Zinco left in charge of his company WAY WAY back in Wake the Devil is something of a occult and Nazi feteshist. He and a secret research branch of Zinco capture some frogs and starts re-wiring thier brains to make them speak English. He makes a suit patterned after the WW2 era villian The Black Flame to allow himself to control the creatures, and uses the ones he tamed to find some wild ones and convinces them to perform a ceremony to give him some sort of crazy ass Chaos powers.
So the new Black Flame starts using his power and the frogs to start waking up one of the children of the Ogdru-Hem, Kata-Hem, whom he hopes to control. On the way to doing this, though, he appears in a warehouse where Roger and and some soliders have just killed some frogs, and simply blows the place up with his badass Chaos powers. Now Roger is in little peices. Both Abe and Daimio blame themselves for Rogers death. Abe responds by going back out into the field with the other BPRD soliders (and there ARE soliders at this point, essentialy at the start of The Balck Flame) and Diamio tries to resign, but Manning won't let him.
So somewhere in the midwest I think, The Black Flame and tousands and thousands of frogs summun up Kata-Hem, which is about as big as five Godzillas, and can convert normal humans into frog with its "breath." This is a huge turning point in the Hellboy universe, as essentialy Kata-Hem walks the Earth killing thousands while the US army can't dent the thing and is hours away from dropping a nuke on it. Then Liz blows it up somehow, and everyone goes home. Abe still has problems, and looks like he's staying in the office. Kate never left, and her quest to rural France to find a way to ressurect Roger seems to be sanctioned by the BPRD, as she has another agent with her.
But yeah, there's a lot less BPRD people now because essentialy they were forced to militarize, and then thousands of people including them died fighting Kata-Hem.[/spoiler:6a60de4abb]
So uh, I hope that answers you questions, as I'm not sure how much you have read.
Sweet. Thanks, now hopefully some more forumers will join the game I'm going to try to run.
I need to pick up pretty much all the B.P.R.D. trade paperbacks, I got a couple of the issues of one of the first ones, but never bothered to get anymore since I didn't think it would be as good without Hellboy.

Uh, yeah they are really good. You need to read them. It's kinda sad you have Abe's origin kinda spoiled I guess, as it's a pretty amazing read the first time.

Ok, so I'm reading Hellblazer 222, and something just doesn't fit.
[spoiler:bca7ce45c9]Didn't the first of the fallen kill the second and third way back, like the late 1980s? I distinctly remember it was a plot hatched by Constantine and a succubus in order to kill the first of the fallen ( who, as a result, became a Greek fisherman ).[/spoiler:bca7ce45c9]

What happened in the issue where the original Green Goblin died?

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Why is there no Wiki page for Jean Grey? Seriously I noticed the link in the Professor X one was red...nothing about one of Comics biggest stars? and by that I mean she was the focus of the Marvel Universe almost until they figured that Scarlet Witch would be cooler.

The link in the article goes to Jean Grey(comics), which does not exist, because the article is just Jean Grey.
Did Deadly Genesis really happen? Or is it another Magneto/Xorn fiasco?

What happened in Son of M?
1st Question: Yes. Read Brubakers run on Uncanny X-Men (475 and 476 so far) to see the continuation of it.
2nd Question: [spoiler:048d308248]A de-powered Quicksilver steals the the terrigen mists from the inhumans and gains the power to move so fast that he can travel through time. He goes to Genosha and gives several mutants back their powers through the mists, with disasterous results. The US military and the Inhumans show up. The military steals the mists and refuse to give them to the Inhumans. Blackbolt declares war on the US and Quicksilver escapes to New York. Through continued use of the mists it seems Petro also has the power to give decimated mutants their powers back through touch.[/spoiler:048d308248]

What happened in the issue where the original Green Goblin died?
It happened over two issues. First the Green Goblin (after learning Peter's secret identity) kidnapped Gwen Stacy and threw her off the Brooklyn Bridge. Second, enraged Peter fought and defeated the Green Goblin, but refused to kill him. The Green Goblin then used the remote control on his glider in an attempt to kill Peter. However, Peter's Spider-Sense saved him and he dodged at the last moment causing the glider to impale the Green Goblin.
My friends are huge amazing race fans and when that season came on they said that you were my clone or something stupid, or that we were lost brothers.
Also keeping with Gwen Stacey death, I recently flipped through the trade about it and saw that she was unconcious during the whole fight and then rolled off the ledge, did Peter notice if her heart was beating or that she was alive? After I glanced at it she could have been dead before he even got there.

It's been confirmed several times now that her death was a result of the shock from Peter's web catching her.

I just said that. The physical shock.
You worded it poorly. Shock is a medical condition so using it in this sense leads to confusion.
-edit-
To be clear: Shock is a generic medical term that describes the inability of the circulatory system to adequately maintain blood flow. It isn't a term that would be used medically to describe cervical trauma.
