When they say TNT will be at 4PM, do they mean Pacific Time?
Yup. Something I just noticed now is that if you look at the coming up on giantbomb panel on the main page the time listed should be accurate to your timezone.

Another thing that has bothered me with writing on Giant Bomb (and really, most gaming websites) is that for about the last 3 or 4 major Wii games that have come out, everyone keeps using the same old "time to dust off that Wii!" or "the last big Wii release!" or various shit like that.
Yes. We get it. People do not play their Wiis often and there are the system is in it's ending days. You do not need to start all of these articles the same way.

People have been saying that since the days of NSMBWii, and it's been like a dozen major high-profile AAA Wii releases since then. And there's still one more to come.

But I mean
comparing to the Xbox and PS3's release schedule the Wii is basically a limping turtle
and the Giant Bomb dudes, as well as a bunch of people I know, barely ever use their Wii. They so themselves.
I get that it has good games but the whole "hey you can use your Wii again!" thing is kinda true
I mean last year had Skyward Sword and Xenoblade everywhere that isn't the US? Those are the only two really huge titles I can find
It's more the fact that it is just a really easy way to start an article or feature that I feel is below the general quality of Giant Bomb. Just those weird little tropes of gaming journalism that bother me.
Here's a joke that I heard someone else say and it got a lot of laughs so I'm going to say it now. And I expect you all to laugh again.

As much as I love the Wii games I have, I've worked in retail for most of the Wii's lifespan and the release schedule just doesn't stack up to the other consoles.
That being said, I agree that writing cliches should be avoided wherever possible.

My opinion on the Wii has kind of always been that it has just enough games to keep me from selling it, and years from now I'll probably look fondly back on those titles.
Now Giant Bomb is making me wish I had bought Trials instead of Fez. Of course I haven't gotten to the first ending yet, but I'm thinking that even with all the crazy stuff in that game, I would have probably had more fun just doing dumb stuff on motorcycles.

The biggest tragedy of the CBS merger seems that Alex is having to 'earn his chops' so to speak by writing articles.
Like, Vinny does most of his work through video editing and Patrick does it through insightful research.
Honestly? I don't think I've read a recent article by Brad. He seems to put most of his time into QL's, at least recently.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

He needs to snark.
And he snarks very poorly.
"He's a robotic space T-Rex that breathes fire. I think that renders your argument invalid."
That sure is the internet.
Alexs gonna Alex. Haters gonna hate.
I think that was the plan, yeah.
Yup. Something I just noticed now is that if you look at the coming up on giantbomb panel on the main page the time listed should be accurate to your timezone.
you have found my problem with Alex
after being unable to properly articulate my whole issue with him
he is too "from the internet"
that is what makes him completely fucking unbearable for me
his jokes, his mannerisms, all that stuff
are you some kind of fucking guru
It should still be Swatch Internet Time.

c'mon guy you are a good writer when you try! You don't need to be so snarky about everything!
Or is he paid in snarks, I forget.

It annoys me because I want Giantbomb to be my main source of game news and I don't want to have reasons to complain about Alex.
So I end up not reading the bulk of their articles because I can't stand his snark.
Anyway, everyone should read the secret dad story, it's pretty touching.

That was a good article, but I'm just imagining the headline as how Alex Navarro would write it.
Surprising everyone, Secret Dad is a game
So, that happened

Are you trying to say complaining about alex is beating a dead horse?
Eh, you only see it once or twice a year.
If people on an unaffiliated forum complain enough about him, he will be removed eventually.
It's called Democracy, Natek.

Lots of good men have made the mistake of thinking that.
Contained? No. It's waiting.
