I think this means they sold a bunch of assets off and cash flow does not represent a company's profits. Also, I'm assuming they ate shit in 2009 and is currently hoarding cash to make up for that like pretty much everyone else.
But it appears you agree with my point that Act-Blizz has been much more profitable in recent years than EA.
I'm not saying we should storm their offices with flaming torches and pitchforks..
or worse, create online petitions...
but there is no defending the online problems... it is indefensible.
yeah, I have "only" lost a few-100K credits, and some free stuff that was a bonus to begin with. I'm not losing sleep over it... but there are people who have lost real money dollars in the store. the weekend bonus packs have been nothing but a fustercluck - I just thought they may have actually got it all sorted this time... guess not.

i do agree. but if anything, that would make me think EA's management would want to treat customers well and try to build loyalty where possible. yeah, it's a business, they're in business to make money, not friends, but even in that calculation, normal companies would want to maintain at least a semblance of goodwill with customers.
where are they not trying to build loyalty and maintain a semblance of goodwill?
they're trying
I mean yeah the weekend events and reward packs have unforeseen problems crop up in their execution but hey we live in a universe defined by entropy, it is in the very nature of reality itself for things to go wrong
and you can hardly blame EA for that

also, I got instant killed by a banshee but was still able to be picked up
I hope they patched that out
I had that happen to me too one time
I've been instakilled as well, but there seems to be a split between being totally murdered instantly and murdered but revivable
Phantoms OHKO is still just ending me though
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.
when you are being sucked in / picked up by a banshee you are not invulnerable
so if something else kills you while that animation is going on, whether it be a marauder or ravager ooze or banshee warp damage over time, you'll go down normally and the banshee's one-hit-kill animation will play through with your corpse and accomplish nothing

I really enjoyed HL2 and it was a good 4 years old when I got around to the campaign.

yeah, I've noticed that happening before
I just have a feeling (probably wrong) that it was different this time
where are they not trying to build loyalty and maintain a semblance of goodwill?

blame? nah. puzzlement, and maybe mild annoyance, sure.
it's more than just the multiplayer issues, but those things are symptomatic. it comes down to EA consistently making promises on things and not following through. things can always go wrong, but that's getting a bit philosophical.
all i am saying is that 1) EA promises great things in order to get customers to fork over money; 2) said customers fork over money; 3) EA laughs because they now have all that money; 4) EA fails to follow through on lots of their promises. yeah, in the real world lots of companies have this happen. i'm saying that for EA, it seems to be less of plans not going as intended or even the intermittent bad luck; it's more of a consistent way of doing business.
again, it's more than just the multiplayer issues, but they are an indicative symptom.

yeah but he played HL2 when it came out
and recognizing HL's achievements only makes it good compared to its contemporaries--
we don't say Birth of a Nation is still an amazing film even if it was a pretty big gamechanger at the time
I had that happen to me too one time

I played HL2 a couple years after it came out, found it even more boring
people do say that though, because context is really important when evaluating any art
I still died a bunch from cliffs and holes in the alien floating cloud universe
that's coo I'm just saying as regards that one thing
then your opinion is just wrong and also stupid.
That makes sense.
EA is actively trying to hasten the heat death of the universe
Oh fuck I'm late!
let's just be clear here
my mom almost never says "fuck."

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
i was also fond of "I knew I liked her for some reason"
I mean I like those things too but why can't a game like Ninja Gaiden be art for its beautifully crafted combat system
(and boob jiggles)
like you know say

probably a fair cop tbh
Are guns viable on Gold yet
what the what now?
a buff to the arc pistol
I'm gonna try using it again, and once again, I will be stuck with an awful gun for a round
I guess it makes sense to tone it down some
Just gonna force me to be more precise instead of just hitting EVERYTHING
