I got in the mood to try and watch some anime. Took a recommendation to try Sword Art Online. I'm enjoying it very much. I'm amazed at how many MMO things they actually get right. I also think its a much better take on the "trapped in an MMO" than .hack was. I'm glad I'm liking it cause I've been feeling very anti-japany recently.
Sword Art Online is a lot darker than .hack, the stakes are higher and it portrays MMOs a lot better, yeah.

I couldn't get into it
it felt too real, and that meant the death tolls felt unblunted by fiction or distance

@Sarksus hummus is chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) and tahini (sesame paste). It's cheap and easy to make if you have a food processor, and pretty ubiquitous at grocery stores regardless. It's one of those grain/bean combos that is a 'complete protein', meaning that it contains all the amino acids your body can't produce by itself.
I want to try hummus but it always looks like vomit ;(
Just think of it (and serve it) like dip. Its way better than sour cream based dips. And doesn't look any worse.
Guess who just arranged a free consult about electrocuting her face?
Aww yeah.
look at dis fancy lady
Mmmhm.
More importantly this lady who managed to overcome her hatred and anxiety over calling places to make an appointment. I have some weird anxiety issues which is why I'm glad I managed to finally start this :P

making it yourself takes like 3 minutes and you immediately taste the difference
If you're at high altitudes and don't add salt to the water it can be hard to get pasta to an edible consistency.
why wouldn't you add salt?
you always add salt
Its completely unnecessary at sea level.
the altitude has nothing at all to do with it!
The usefulness of the salt is that it raises the boiling temp of the water, which at high altitudes is depressed so much you can't hard boil an egg or get al dente from dry pasta without it.
As far as salt on the pasta itself, that's why you put salt and pepper on the damn table.
Played Path of Exile for the first time last night.
It's surprisingly good. Not really a fan of how muted and muddy some areas look, but character building and choosing equipment has been fun and the combat is better than Diablo 2, if only slightly.
I started playing it and was like"this is pretty good."
Then I just kind of gave up and played Elona instead.

It also helps that I think the combat is pretty well animated. Digging the characters designs too.

I only throw in olive oil if I'm not going to be adding sauce, because of the taste.
No, your avatar indicates that your face is actually fine.
You might've mixed it up with other body areas!
After the first episode
I was also really angry

You can't just boil everything, Bogart!

Let people decide how salty on their own.
Wut, salt is really important at high altitudes because without it the water won't get hot enough to actually cook the pasta properly.
