what I thought was weird was the bit with van Oort just standing around silently
Well what do you know about him other than what was shown?
I remember back in 4th grade when I did my Science Project on Comets and talked about him and his theory of the cloud and getting accused of my parents helping me

No, I mean it was weird how he just stood there and didn't say or do anything.
"If the universe was 6500 years old, as some claim, we wouldn't be able to see most of the stars in the sky."
Cosmos, just dropping it's dick on the table and daring you not to stare at it.
Obviously, 6500 years ago the universe was created 13.8 billion years old.

So I am really disappointed because I got the Amazon Instant Video season pass for this, and I hadn't really used my Instant Video at all until now so I hadn't realized that in order to download the episodes to my computer I need to install Amazon's proprietary software. And I kind of feel like, fuck that noise? Because I don't buy or plan on buying any other shows apart from this one.
I need my NDGT science fix, man!

But if you decide not to use the Amazon product anymore, how else are they going to revoke your right to watch it?

Amazon instant blows
I found this out about the same tome I found out Prime doesnt do monthly payments and thats why I was short 70 dollars after my free trial.
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
I love Last Thursdayism. It's a very comic booky style of creationism. Too bad it's a joke and not taken seriously. Otherwise I'd be forever saying, "I wasn't born yesterday you know... I was born last Thursday!" It'd get old pretty quick for everyone around me.
Okay, I am finally getting into this for real because I did not know that it was on hulu.
Edit: Okay, so far, this show has covered the contents of the whole observable universe, the shape of the world in the past present and future, and the history of our modern understanding of the universe.
I actually like Amazon Instant video? I have a smart TV so if I can't find a show or movie on Netflix it is more than likely on Amazon and either free with my Prime membership or a shell out a couple bucks so I don't care all that much. Plus I get free Kindle Books every month and free 2 day shipping and I'm a student so I get a nice discount off

Their PC stuff kinda sucks, but it is great on tablets and TVs and stuff.

Yeah, if I were using instant video for a tablet or tv maybe it'd be different but I was not pleased with having to install a new program just to watch a single show in hd.
Also any time I go to the Hulu website it tells me all I can get is a one week free trial for signing up? Maybe I'm an idiot. I'm probably an idiot.

You're probably looking at the Hulu Plus stuff LS - that's their premium service, but you can just get a free account and watch Cosmos. If it's available in your region I guess.

Yeah, Hulu's region restrictions are pretty harsh, IIRC.

That's a perfectly valid theory, assuming a God that can do whatever the fuck he wants. Unfortunately it's not one that most creationists use.
it's on hulu?!
Twitch (I stream most days of the week)
Twitter (mean leftist discourse)

Thought I would get through the first episode without rolling a tear but then Tyson told that story about meeting Sagan and now I'm crying.
