It just kinda keeps simultaneously getting better and harder
But you get better at putting both in perspective, too
College is pretty great except for not having money.
Then when you have money, you don't have any time to use it...
Every part is the best and worst at the same time.
High School you've got pretty much no responsibility but little freedom.
College you've got freedom, a little responsibility, and no money.
Post-college you've got freedom, more responsibility, but some money.
Married with children you've got little freedom, a lot of responsibility, lots of money all goes to not-fun things, but kids so it's the best.
Although I've got to say the single, post-college, making grown-up money phase was pretty fun but not somewhere you want to spend too much time.
Well, if you do the working part right, you might be able to retire...where you have freedom, money, and little responsibility, but your body is beginning to fail you. So that sucks too.

well for me highschool was merely the beginning of the downward slope, things have only continued to deteriorate in the ensuing 12 years
but I'm sure that's not true for everyone!
I came up with an explanation for this over the summer.
Through high school, we are told what to do. You are in 3rd grade. You are in this room for this duration. You read this book Easy peasy.
Then when high school ends we are asked, "Alright. What do you want to do?"
Some of us were unprepared for that question. And remain so.
