    Stayed up waaay too late tonight. I guess that's how @Antoshka was able to pull this off.

    Thanks for Recettear! All these new sim games and the like... I actually was addicted to the Harvest Moon series of games- still am, even if I don't have the time to knock them off my backlog any more. I think this one ought to be pretty fun!

    Ugh, I'm tired... sleep or serve Gaben... what a tough decision...

    I'm playing Borderlands 2 now, as Axton. I said I would try someone different, but the joy of blindly dropping a turret off a balcony and then seeing the damage and XP rolling in, and hearing the screams and the dakka... that's bliss.

    Also, I'm not being antisocial when I play, it's just that I usually only have like, 30 minutes or so to play, or I might have to pause to do RL things at any time. So if I don't jump in YOUR game or invite you to mine, please don't take offense!

    Axton's turret is a thing of beauty.

    ... which is probably why he's a little bit weird about it ...

    Oh yeah, the quotes are funny. The turret is soooooo much better than in 1! It doesn't have the shield built-in, but it has a 360 degree firing arc!

    I just got an email from Isthereanydeal.com letting me know that Damned is $4.00 with voucher code VBHGBM-JS2VN9-0J5OFM.
    This seems like a thing people should get for Friday Night Gaming or other things.

    In fact, how about a contest!

    PM me the damndest thing you can think of. Seriously, whatever that means to you.
    I will choose the awesomest entry (could be funny or scary or totally offensive or whatever) and the winner gets a free copy of Damned

    I'll close the contest around 3PM EST Friday. Let's get some Damn entries!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GFwyNr4o4sM

    Damned: A Randomized Online Horror Game

    What is Damned?
    Damned is a randomized online horror game for up to 5 players (4 survivors and 1 monster). You’ll be able to play as one of four people trapped in different haunted places (hotels, hospitals, etc).

    As a survivor your main objective will be finding your way out, as well as helping your friends get out too. You’ll often find yourself on the edge, hearing and seeing ghostly things, trying to find keys and items to help in your escape. And sometimes you’ll find yourself running desperately from a monster, who’s there only to find and kill you and your friends.

    You’ll also be able to play as the monster. The game will feature different monsters, each one unique in its gameplay and hunting style.

    What kind of horror game is Damned?

    Damned explores the sense of being defenseless against a powerful supernatural force. The survivors can’t directly affect the monster in any way. When it’s there to get you, your only chance is to run and hide.

    This perception of being defenseless is very strong, primal and terrifying, it builds up anxiety and makes you really scared, fearing any unexplained noise or movement.

    This is how Damned creates horror in a multiplayer game session, and we believe it to be super effective! (tested and approved!)

    Why is Damned a randomized game?

    Every stage in Damned is randomized:

    Almost all the objects in a stage may or may not appear;

    The item system is fully random too, randomizing which item will appear in the game, and where it'll be;

    The way to win a match as a survivor is also randomized;

    Even the stage may trigger random events to scare the survivors inside.

    2 level cap increases of 11 levels each.

    GOTYE (Somebody!!!!) includes 1 level cap increase. The second level cap increase also has OP levels (basically level increases w/o skill points) and the Digipeak gauntlet.

    In UVHM, everything has regen, so it's not as awesome as you'd think. Stuff doesn't die quite as fast (though the dual slag helps immensely), and the turrets are single-target only. So if they pick the one Super Badass Psycho in the group, they'll be shooting for a while, and probably taking more damage than they're dishing out.

    The upside is that they're considered part of the VH squad, so they can be healed to some degree.

    The Alien films all got really great restorations for a release on DVD and the Blu-Ray transfers are the same redone film prints, only at the higher resolution BD allows.
