Yeah, the show came about 10 years too early.
It had good bones, but back then if your show was making money you had to keep it on the air.
(I mean this still happens, but it seems like it's more acceptable now to have a show with a definite end point.)
It should have been maybe three seasons.

My coworker just said she cant watch Modern Family because there is a gay couple in there and she doesnt know how to explain to her son why theyre together and have a baby outside of "they nasty". She followed it up with "not that i'm against it though"

I tried it a month at launch and I rather liked it in spite of its flaws. I hear it only got better.
I really wanted to play it on XBO but broke down and played on the Mac for a bit.
It was very fun and pretty and it was clearly built in a way, like Skyrim, that allowed for very functional game controller play, even if that feature was not available on the PC release.
When it comes out on consoles, there is a 20 dollar upgrade for people who bought the PC version, so I expect I will be doing that.

Maternity leave in the US is a joke. I think we get like 6 weeks and have to use our vacation leave or we dont get paid. Is that right @ludious? I can't remember.
Babies need their parents and parents want to be with their babies. Let people telework who can and if they cant then oh well, family first. They can at least cut the hours for most of the workers out there during the first year of a babies life. And the amount employers have to pay for maternity leave is insignificant to large companies so they should really just suck it up and give full pay during this time. I know it is different for small companies but if they do it anyway they will find that their employee's morale increases, people become more invested in their jobs, and become more skilled a the jobs from being there longer. It's an investment in the future.
