Hahaha, man, I'm sorry to keep bringing this stuff around, but it is really entertaining to me.

    THE SAGA CONTINUES

    http://princelesscomic.tumblr.com/post/117528180421/does-that-mean-that-therell-be-no-amerikate-story
Anonymous: does that mean that there'll be no AmeriKate story at all? Or just not one from you?

    princelesscomic: Heh.

So, I can’t really answer that the way I want to. Let me try subtle emphasis.

There will be no Amerikate story IN “SECRET LOVE”.

I know that doesn’t actually answer your question, but there is only so much I can say about this thing that doesn’t exist.

pornosophical: so is that ‘IN’ the subtle emphasis that insinuates such a story would take place outside of Secret Love, or just capslock? just to clarify

princelesscomic: There does not appear to be anything wrong with my capslock key.

I think it's supposed to be Spider-Ham's ally Captain Americat.

Yes. Marvel already had Captain America as a cat laying around for just this kind of situation.

a lot of the carol corps care about KSD's work and fuck all else

which is too bad since KSD's work on that book can best be described as "disappointing"

The reboot has been soundly lackluster at best, but the second trade of the first series(with Monica Rambeau and then Felipe Andrade on art) was really good. I feel like the Carol Corps actually fucked up what was good about the book, the tone shifted slightly and it's not nearly as interesting as it was before Enemy Within.

But whatever the cause, it's just boring right now.

I feel the exact opposite, Carol in space is way more interesting than what was going on in that book before.

That said: I do think Captain Marvel is considerably weaker than her Image work, both Pretty Deadly and Bitch Planet are way better.

Hello we are Disney you are not allowed to be in other movies this year

They knew what they were signing up for.

Oh wait, no one knew what they were signing up for.

One thing I think KSD has done well with her run that Reed never seemed to get around to doing is actually building up Carol's rogue's gallery. She brought back Yon-Rogg, brought in June Covington from her great Osborn mini (still the best thing she's written for Marvel, in my opinion), and created Grace Valentine.

He's actually the person who gives the filming schedule so yeah he's confirmed

(I'm still guessing Steve dies for the dark cliffhanger at the end of part one and Bucky takes over as Cap in part two)

evans had a six movie contract *i think* and that would be

    captain america
    the avengers
    captain america 2
    the avengers 2
    captain america 3
    avengers 3 pt 1

and he has given notice that he is ready to get out of there so I would imagine that will be his stopping point and they'll kill steve in part one.

Yeah, I edited it to be a little more clear

I think Part 2 would end with the heroes restoring things to how it should be, which would include getting rid of Steve again

    Cue teary final farewell

Well that's why I asked because I've never read it being confirmed and knowing the schedule doesn't automatically mean he's down.

But I would think Steve Rogers: Director of SHIELD would be a thing that A) people would want to see and B) be something pretty important since he is a founding Avenger and is now top cop of the world and also his former sidekick is now Captain America

It would be way easier to just kill him off and have him be a figure of inspiration for heroes and specifically Bucky as he becomes Cap

Give Steve his Infinity Gauntlet moment where he stands up to Thanos, despite being HILARIOUSLY out of his weight class, but have him do it to buy the rest of the team time to escape and die in the process

Then Bucky can find/take the Shield from Thanos and have a really cool CAPTAIN AMERICA WILL NEVER DIE moment in part two
