I have a nonbinary friend and a severely disabled friend who discovered that they shared a shitty abusive ex, who it appears has a propensity for finding people who are so lonely that they'll put up with some pretty dire financial exploitation. The worst thing about that kind of situation is that friends and family who become aware of it will often tell the exploited party that they should be glad that they're at least getting something out of the deal, thus affirming the original misconception that they're not worthy of unconditional love in the first place.

This happened to me with spiro recently. I have since then ALSO been given a diagnosis of hypertension, so suddenly being off of it was "fun". I was getting double attacked by dysphoria AND high blood pressure!

Ive left SOME of the details out, but there were medical issues other than that going on with me as well. I eventually wound up in the ERand as soon as the nurse saw my blood pressure levels, I got to skip the rather crowded waiting room entirely and go straight back to a room. And the did say that part of the problem was definitely going off a fairly high dose of spiro for as long as i did, so i just went with what I was told. The physical symptoms could have been caused by something else I suppose.
Everything is fine now though, so its all good.
