I find the idea of you guys talking about cutting course funding hilarious cus most american students end up with crippling debt anyway
also spool complaining about useless college degrees while his daughter is in hippie college learning about historical vaginas and whatnot
As of May 2015, average apartment rent within 10 miles of Boston, MA is $2489. One bedroom apartments in Boston rent for $2085 a month on average and two bedroom apartment rents average $2597.
;_;
Jesus Christ. I mean, that's about as bad as the Bay Area, but still...
I know I am sorry.
Today an engineer that I have had maybe 10 minutes of conversation with, in front of two women, was like "Well I mean the campus battery report was overblown, the guy just forced himself on her and kissed him but he was small so she should have fought back". This is my sample set. I was like "LOL still battery! ... *change subject completely*"

if anything, I admire spools principled dedication to his cause despite the fact that it would undermine his daughter's potential career-track
Please consider the environment before printing this post.

I went to a pompeii exhibit and they had an oil lamp that was shaped like a vagina,
but the clit was a swan's head
it was incredible

you can tell that youth doesn't deserve a living wage because of his backwards cap and sunglasses and the rap music he is probably listening to
I bet it's going to make a buncha anthro majors upset though.
Coming out of school with no better prospect than a fry cook and 50k in debt makes for some vicious class warfare.
It is one of the inherent risks of those degrees though.
But I am not really sure how this is an argument against it, considering if they had to work fast food after graduating in order to pay the bills it would be good if that was a living wage.
oh, it's not. It's an argument against paying ferderal money for people to get an anthro degree.
are you raising people with anthropology degrees as an example of "people who shouldn't get funded with taxpayer dollars to study this because it's not useful" or...

If I studied for a STEM degree and got it you'd have one more mediocre STEM major in the world that would cause DK to write many more posts on this forum about the sheer incompetence in his job
forcing people to get degrees in shit they don't have aptitudes for nets you shitty adults with shitty skills that's all

this is kinda mean bro
the crippling debt is at least part because tuition is crazy expensive for, i think, basically no reason?
college costs way more than it did 75 years ago, because ??? (one answer is because there's no market forces driving it down because students are not responsible stewards of thousands of dollars in student loan money at the age of 18, and maybe something around inelastic demand)
so the crippling debt is not because not enough course funding!
and man i didn't read spoolster as complaining and also shouldn't we laud someone supporting their kid even if their kid wants to do something that's not what they want their kid to do?

it's true some people are hopeless

In America, you can be anything, as long as it's IT, compsci, or engineering
Or medical, or legal, or educational or financial etc etc And those are just the good areas
If you get an education and are willing to do a job that actually is in demand (some combination of necessary and difficult) you can make a good living. Or you can do one or the other and just get by. Or if you can't or won't do either, you have to hope you can find a situation where someone else supports your lifestyle/situation.
I have a lot more sympathy for people who can't get an education because of a shitty economic situation or who can't work due to a health (mental or physical) problem than people just check off none of the above and wonder what went wrong.

Rule 34, alive and well even before the internet.
I see.
It was funny because the description thingy wouldn't outright say "vagina lamp" and I guess they thought people wouldn't understand "yonic" so it was just all this entendre and vague references to 'anatomy'.

college costs aren't even for professors or meaningful facilities
they are for golden parachute 500+k presidents and the 10 vice presidents and the administrators
they run a college into the ground and capitalize on it and go to another one and do this over and over

She hasn't called since Saturday afternoon and I've been nearly useless until the last half hour or so.
When she calls though it's like popping an energy drink until the buzz wears off and I need another call.
This may explain why I was so productive during that year that we weren't talking.
yeah spool control your kids man
But whyyyy? The rejection hurts me so
I mean or we could invest more in science.
