Well, here is my collection. Not too shabby since I haven't been able to get to the other Paxs'. I wish I could get my hands on the patches, but people tend to forget to send them when mail trading.
This was a canvas I bought to display the seating arrangement for my wedding, and then I didn't know what to do with it after. I covered it with white crushed velvet, and I think it looks great. Then another Pax year comes and I end up rearranging many of them for a better look! Here's to gaining more in October!
So, I made a thing, it's just a video of me talking about the displays I've made so far. Feel free to toss any constructive criticism my way. I have nfc how to edit video, so I'm sure it's pretty rough. Enjoy!
Enjoyed watching it. Great idea putting the PAX shirt in the Prime 2014 frame. I also really like the small display ideas. As always I need to up my display game. Currently just have them stuck on the IKEA cork boards leftover from my wedding.
The always helpful @merchmistress suggested using jewelry cloths to clean the pins, especially for getting the tarnish off the gold ones. Here is an example of one on Amazon. That way they can look their best before being put on display. @Qumaden even demonstrates using a jewelry cloth in his video above.
I've been eyeing a display case with a hinged door, and now that some other pinny pals have vouched for it, I'll probably go ahead and get it. This is one in black.

With the first of my two Pin Pal Prime pin deliveries showing up today, I'm realising I need to upgrade from lanyards to an actual storage space for my pins. However, I live in the land of the fishfish and the home of the inverted, so I don't know of anywhere to buy pin books (since pin collecting is much less of a hobby here). Is there anyone who knows where to get pin books in Melbourne/Australia? Or anywhere to buy them online that won't sting me too much for shipping? I plan to ask for a book for Christmas to avoid paying for it myself, but I also don't want to recommend something super expensive to my parents.
I saw, fishfish. I like it as an idea but I'd rather something that will fit in my bookcase and keep out of the way, as well as something I can browse through. If I wanted to put them in a box (albeit a very nice box) just for storage I'd probably pack them into a cardboard box.
checked today....actually there are a few dinged up ones...my staff season 1 sets are fine, but season 2 are really bad, the orange background is being wiped off..., there are a couple others with minor issues but i cant tell if thats due to bag

Anyone else having issues with the Starslip pin? I traded for it at Aus, I don't think it looked like this when I got it. When I opened my Penny Arcade pin case (treated by Brian), it was a very tarnished silver and not a sign of gold. No amount of rubbing will fix this. Thoughts?

The gold does this too. I think it has something to do with the plating? I would think a polish would work but they can be abrasive and may take off the paint. I polished mine with a fine polishing cloth and tried to keep my acid hands off of them as much as possible
I was feeling seasonal but wasn't happy with the traditional decorations. So I decided to add Pins. I think it's pretty! My baby wants to eat them. My husband thinks I've lost it completely.
