Hehe, Shovel Knight's font does bug me. ;P

What raises an eyebrow more is that Twilight Princess HD's lil triangle is also purple, implying it's not first party. Whassup with that? I mean, I assume the triangles are showing first/third party? Every other game but Shovel Knight's is green.

I'm in the weird place of trying not to get too excited for them. Bayo and Cloud are must gets for me, but they're also realistic human characters, historically the weakest kind of amiibo sculpt. Bayo especially, all those strands for her hair cape thing? Gonna be tough to make a decent miniature statue out of that. Cloud is more likely to look good, but as a picky philistine... I kinda like his Advent Children alt costume a lot more than his original one. ;P

Same with Corrin, come to think of it - I quite like playing as them, but mostly prefer female Corrin's look, and sadly she's the alt, so the amiibo is gonna be male. :<

I preferred dude Robin, but for Corrin, the female design looks a lot better. Also, while the Robins finished pretty close together in the polls, female Corrin was much more popular in the official nintendo polling I've seen.

I can understand why guy Corrin got the amiibo, but it's still a little disappointing.

(Both Corrins are garbage characters, mind, but at least female Corrin looks okayish while making hilariously stupid decisions.)

My preferred retailer is having 47% off on the Olimar amiibo. Since that's the only existing amiibo I had planned on buying, I'll be picking it up after work.

Yeah, there are good bargains to be had on a lot of newer (i.e. produced or had a restock within the last 6 months or so) amiibo, since they basically overproduced them to combat scalpers. Shame for Nintendo (or maybe the retailers who overbought? I don't know who technically eats that price... I assume the later, but with the caveat that they order less next time which hurts Nintendo if they continue to overproduce) but nice for consumers at least :P

Not sure if I want any of the Kirby line, Kirby and MetaKnight look fine, but I already have them in great form. Dedede looks horrific.

The only one I'm remotely interested in is Waddle Dee, but I'm not sure if I want to even do that.

I think I am the only one who thinks Dedede looks fine. *shrug* I just don't see why everyone hates it (not that the Smash one isn't better, but this one doesn't look *bad* to me).

I would rather get these from Amazon but I locked in a pre-order just in case anyways. Can always cancel. Or maybe I won't :P

Welp, bought another amiibo: mah boi Ike (who, I'm told, we like). That's #7 for me (Ike, Wolf Link, Lucina, Yarn Yoshi, Inkling Squid, Inkling Girl, Link).

I've been meaning buy him anyway for a while, but with the release of FE Fates coming up soon, I had the perfect excuse. Thankfully the store I bought him at had several on display, so I was able to pick the one that looked the best. The paint job on one of them was pretty bad and another had a totally bent Ragnell.

Personally I'd love both myself. I do wish there was at least one game that something significant with all amiibo. I think the closest we have is Mario Maker where almost every amiibo unlocks a unique costume. But that's just a costume. I'd love something where you could actually play as the characters. And then you still have the general functionality so your figures aren't dependant on a single game to be useful.
