My Doomtree power rankings go Dessa, POS, Lazerbeak, Sims, Mictlan, Paper Tiger, Cecil Otter.
Love em all, though
i still got POS on top, but yeah, dessa's right there
i saw the two of em like 6 years ago, but no further live doomtree for me, unfortunately
I've seen Dessa solo, POS solo, and one full-crew show. All were great, in their own varied ways. Probably had the most fun at the full-crew show, just because it really felt like an event. Each MC got a little chunk of solo time, with group numbers to break them up. And seeing, like, "Get Down" with the full group up there was bananas.
Eh, it's his music. It's not like he's scouring the original versions from the world.
Movies do alternate and director's cuts all the time, books get revised from edition to edition. Just because it doesn't happen often in music doesn't mean it's bad.

Any time! You attributed mental illness to a totally normal thing, so I knew you could use the assist
There might actually be a real case here, so it'll be interesting to see play out. Basically the argument being made is that credit card numbers and etc. even if not used have actual value to them and thus the acquisition by a company of said information is a kind of exchange.
It's super interesting to see someone make that argument.

Ferg dropped. God Bless America. Downloading it now, never listened to one of his full lengths before. I enjoy how well he bounces off his features (or how well he features on other tracks, for that matter).

If you're talking about the Spark Master Tape track, it's the single off Silhouette of a Sunkken City, which came out recently. He's got a couple other tapes that are on Spotify right now.

It's uneven like his first.

This the greatest shit in the club / Since “In Da Club” / It’s so packed I might ride around / On my bodyguard back like Prince in the club
However, on Apple Music today, this exact moment in “Send It Up” features West rapping the last two lines of that verse with absolutely no music underneath him. He’s cut the instrumental out entirely. There’s no word yet on why exactly he’s done it — it’s a minuscule cosmetic adjustment that requires you to know Yeezus intricately to notice — but it’s a confirmed change nonetheless. We’ll update with more tweaks and adjustments as they come through.
then prince died like 2 days later. weird. curse of kanye

Doomtree are from my home city, which makes me vicariously proud. POS is easily my favorite, with Mictlan a close second, but all their stuff is great.

Not a lot of the doomtree solo efforts have enthralled me but I'm always down for more Dessa.
Love em all, though

Two tracks on Yeezus have been altered on Apple Music and Tidal

It's... OK I guess? A couple songs were sold and a couple weren't very good and the rest kind of sucked.
There wasn't a single sing that really wowed me though.
I can't imagine there will be any singles that take off from it other than Famous and maybe Ultralight Beam
