fall 2018 there will be 257 launch attempts and 423 successful launches
"They're launching themselves people. That's not cute or awesome like it sounds, this is terrifying. We don't know why or how it's happening. The appropriate emotion for today's new is fear, to be clear."
Chu have you read a little book called The Secret? I think it might help you, bro.
I suggested it to Hakkekage earlier because she's freaking out about her LSAT scores, but she said some mean things and I don't know why, I was just trying to help.
Don't you dare be optimistic in the middle of my spiral of self loathing and certain doom
I am not being optimistic or pessimistic, I'm just saying that if you get a bad score it's probably your fault because you were so sure you were going to get a bad score, that's all.
With advice like that you wonder why I was mean to you

you see only the reflection of your own treatment of others, Hakks
I'm apparently allowed to post but not upload anymore.
Just imagine real hard how awesome a job I did making use of some leftover pavers in the back yard.

it was interesting to watch
she claimed she could feel the emotions of trees
Allegedly a voice of reason.

i was prescribed a benzo anti-anxiety drug by a GP one time
then i looked into it and saw that any beneficial effects completely disappear after a couple weeks because your brain quickly adapts to it, and also that it's very physiologically addictive, and also when you go off it your anxiety often winds up worse than before you started.
i never filled that prescription
then i made a thread about benzos and my perspective was called 'alarmist' and eye-roll-worthy
So 1967 still holds the record for most orbital launch attempts in a single year worldwide, with 139 launches, 120 of which were successful.
1983 holds the record for most successful orbital launches, with 127 out of 129 total (which, wow, great success rate also, 1983!)
So far this year, we're at 43 launch attempts, with 39 successes. It's unlikely we'll be pursuing any records this year, though the cadence is expected to pick up once American launches return in August.
Launch cadence has been steadily increasing since the historic low of 2004, where only 54 orbital launches were attempted, with 50 of them being successful.
I'm calling my shot now - both records fall in 2019. I'm gonna saaaay ... over 160 launches attempted worldwide in 2019. Someone record that somewhere!
also super racist, but mostly against other kinds of tree
there's a great documentary about that actually, The Happening
it's about trees waging all out war against each other and human beings getting caught in the crossfire, but being so self-absorbed that they think they're the ones being targeted
can't see the forest for the trees

Evening Soliders. Our play through of Valkyria Chronicles continues. We're up to Chapter 5 now. We're gonna capture a camp, and avoid getting blown up by a tank. Should be fun.

Space Brothers is such a good show. I wish our space programs were as optimistic as that show.

this is still my criterion actually
and as he reaches a decrepit finger to the awesome button, some cancer I didn't see will pounce and take him away from us
and I'll push his finger down and it counts!
But that was years ago, and I think standards at skippycorp have tightened; they don't want to flood the market
