My initial impression of ink armour is it's really bad.
Most weapons are automatics and a single hit prevented doesn't really mean much. It also did nothing to prevent splashdown one shotting me so what's even the point? You're really gambling that the enemy team brings a bunch of rollers and chargers.

I recall that Blasters (one of them, at least) dominated the ranked meta around the end of of Splatoon's run. That puts another notch in the "big singular attacks" column.
Oh, and sloshers too.
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.
Seems like your rank doesn't go down in Salmon Run if one of the players on your team disconnects.

I bought this sooner than I'd intended because I have poor impulse control, would be down to play some games over the weekend. Very interested in trying Salmon Run
If there's one map the Tenta Missiles are good on, it's Port Mackerel. Since the map is basically just one long stretch, it's easy to lock on to opponents. Plus the tight corridors make it harder for them to dodge the missiles.
Also just looking ahead to the Salmon Run schedule, EST-wise. Looks like this weekend will be extended stretches with some 22-24 hour shifts, then on Tuesday it's 8 AM - 8 PM (12 hour shift), Thursday it's 2 AM to 2 PM (another 12 hour shift), and then on Friday the 28'th it goes from 8 PM until 8 PM on the 29'th?
I assume the weekday shifts will rotate times around so that people can get a chance to get in even if they have odd work hours.

Haha, Aerospray MG is once again a great gun to use for leveling. Inks like crazy. I mean, it loses to any other close range gun head to head, but who cares, that's not what scores big points.
Are single player progress and multiplayer progress entirely unlinked? Or is upgrading ink fill rates and fire speed going to make me more competitive in multiplayer?

Hero mode upgrades are single-player only.

You can unlock some weapons from single player though.
I used the splattershot jr exclusively in Splatoon 1. They changed up the special to a group shield which is a good ability but I prefer the nothing-can-kill-you-for-a-few-seconds shield of the first game. I may have to switch up my weapon.
What are the unlock conditions for single player weapons anyways?
I found sites claiming that you have to use them to complete every level. So that's pretty brutal. Not sure if they have unique loadouts or are just for bragging rights though.
The first game they were just reskins of existing weapons. But they were also Amiibo unlocks in the first game so it would be fair this time if they had unique loadouts.

How will I ever express my full splatitude?
Just sprayin' ink and chaos everywhere.
Those little walker bombs are little bastards, aren't they? Especially if you throw one behind someone and they don't know it's coming.

20 rounds for the xp buffs. Not timer based, which is excellent.

Nice, that's probably good for a couple hours of play and it can be spread out.
