I guess I'm approaching it from a viewpoint of Nintendo altering Tokyo Mirage Sessions for its American release, though there's a big difference between removing the sexualization of teenagers and editing Nazi imagery, cutting open demons from Hell, and adult nudity.
On that same track: I'd take a Xenoblade 2 delay if it meant Nintendo forced Pyra's design to not be awful.

There's a very specific thing with Nintendo's North American localization policies and near-nudity of teenage (or younger) characters. I remember the "hubbub" when they modified some of the outfits for Bravely Default for similar reasons.

That and aged up the cast, too. Same with Lin in Xenoblade X.
Stop sexualizing teenagers, devs.

Wasn't the GameCube version of BMXXX uncensored while the PS2 version was?
I don't think Nintendo has specifically censored games since like 2000, other than stuff that borders on/is illegal (like the aforementioned naked children)
I'll rebuy GTAV on the Switch. I have it on the PS4 but it's one of those games I just haven't had a chance to sit down and play through. I'll plop in front of the system fully intending on playing some grand AAA title, and then end up playing with my Lego people instead.
Nintendo also released Binding of Isaac as a nearly launch title, which I would say has far more controversial subject matter than a dead naked person.

And now I'm reminded how the ages and time frame for backstory given in that game means that a large portion of the cast would have had to have been child soldiers and the game never mentions it.

The time frame in that game is ridiculous and I try not to think about it.

They might throw some in-game currency for GTA Online though
I will be surprised if it has online.
Given how much they make off in-game currency, I'd be really surprised if it didn't. My son was showing me the pricing of some of the stuff and it was like $20 in real money just to get a cheap airplane and a hanger to store it.
I remember spending nearly an hour fighting the character creation thing, then getting bored with the first tutorial race and went back to finishing the single player story.

Also there's a massive difference between Nintendo modifying a Nintendo game and Nintendo letting someone release a game on their platform.
And don't forget, Nintendo let Conker's Bad Fur Day happen

They have made nearly a billion dollars just on the digital currency from GTA Online
I feel like people keep saying the portability of the Switch is a huge value add up until the point that games have new game prices
Those are on different axes for me. I don't really think the added work of porting an ancient game like LA Noire to Switch really justifies a price hike of that size compared to existing releases(and maybe it won't! We don't know the price yet). There's a Nintendo Premium in existence since time immemorial, and while it's cool for them that they can get away with it I don't have a problem weighing that up in my decision making.

People bought it for $60 on PS4/XB1/PC well after launch, so why the hell not?
Hell, it's still in the top 10 lists month after month, and it's not on sale that often
Wasn't too long ago where they sneakily upped the base price on Steam for the sale just so there'd be a bigger "discount" percentage showing while the price remained about the same.
From what I understand the biggest driver for the price hikes is the cartridge.
It's why there's often a 10 dollar gap between digital and physical on switch.
I haven't checked the prices on that many games, but Splatoon 2 was cheaper physical than on eShop.
At launch?
I don't think so.
Yes, at launch. I paid 406 DKK for a physical copy of Splatoon 2 at launch and it is 479 DKK on the eShop. Actually, I paid less than that because of the store's points program.
I don't really know what the pricing is like in America, but I would be surprised if there aren't any deals at all.

Depends on what you mean.
Because plenty of people still made games for their systems without their approval.
It's what led them down the road of supreme copy protection and proprietary storage.
That's not what they mean

Put GTAV on Switch and let it sell even more copies
Three million more copies sold and it'll beat Wii Sports to become the third highest selling game of all time, behind Tetris and Minecraft

Yeah probably, which means that whoever owns the rights to the Neo Geo catalogue is out of their fucking minds
Those cabinets weighed WAY more than that.
