WEST COAST
Lady on the radio claims that lactose intolerance is caused by diet changes in cows.
Even though most dairy cows are still grass fed, the grass is no longer as good as it was before, or something, and that makes people have more trouble digesting the milk and milk products.
Why do they let crazy people tell falsehoods on serious shows on the radio.
I know the answer is ‘they’re just decorative’ and I’m normally all in favor of decorative bullshit, but I dunno, somehow it just seems silly here, haha. What a waste of a lime, for one thing! I’d be fine with it if like the limes were uncut and the limes and peppers were a bit farther away from the churn
If you have a pound of butter out of the fridge at a time I think you are doing it wrong
You know you can put it back, right?
You put cold butter on toast? You madman
I mean, you take it out and then it softens a bit and then you put it back in the fridge when you are done.
Why even put it back in the fridge?
We cut a slice of butter off the 1 pound brick, stick it on a saucer, and keep that saucer in the cupboard.
So you have rancid butter in your cupboard?
Butter doesn't go rancid within a day, in my experience.
He didn't say he took it out of the cupboard!
I know if I put a thing in a cupboard or drawer or whatever it's because I don't intend to use it that day
It's in the cupboard that houses the coffee mugs and glasses, which is the cupboard that gets opened first thing in the morning for people's coffee (and thus toast) or otherwise regularly throughout the day.
It's technically long-term butter storage that just replenishes itself since you cut more butter and put it on the saucer when you run out.

Yeah, I think it feels weird because there's nothing obvious you'd be using butter for alongside lime and peppers.
Cupboard makes me feel like I'd forget about it and it'd turn into a nasty mess.
life's a game that you're bound to lose / like using a hammer to pound in screws
fuck up once and you break your thumb / if you're happy at all then you're god damn dumb
that's right we're on a fucked up cruise / God is dead but at least we have booze
bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies

Hmm yeah there’s that too. It should be, like, bread and corn or something

If I saw butter on a counter, I'd reflexively put it back in the cupboard thinking someone left it out by mistake.
My Nonna even goes a step further, by putting the butter in a butter container (with lid) in the cupboard which just seems like one extra step too many.

That's just odd
The lid isn't, the cupboard thing is.
To me it'd be like driving out to a storage container to put your butter away

Oh, hey, rocket update:
ULA couldn't launch this morning, bad weather down at the Cape. Next attempt is in about 12 hours, but weather's still looking no bueno.
Either way, launch is literally at like 3:37am Eastern or something awful like that, so I won't be covering this launch live. I don't anticipate it launching tomorrow morning, though.
Maybe monday? Not sure how long they can keep the Atlas on the pad without bringing it back to the VAB, but it should be able to manage a few days, at least!

Fair enough, I don't usually keep butter at room temp but when I do, i pretty much just put it on top of my fridge (under a glass thing)

I would never put butter in a cupboard.
On the counter or fridge only.
Cupboard makes me feel like I'd forget about it and it'd turn into a nasty mess.
