So current anime by Trigger, Darling in the FranXX has giant robots that are piloted by 2 people and they are in this very anime configuration
And so far all the pilot setups were like this with the male behind the female, well this weeks episode shows that there are some with the opposite setup. On another forums someone posted a screen cap of it and the first post was simply
