TIE Fighters!
Not much different here. Scourge and Wampa get a new abilities. Couple more named pilots from Inferno Squadron revealed; one has Wampa's old ability, one has Scourge's.
Del Meeko seems pretty good. It's a better version of Serissu.
Howlrunner's ability remains the same, but includes herself. Mauler Mithel's pilot ability remains untouched.

I just picked up a couple of TFA core sets at my local store for $10 each. Do we know yet how usable they will be in 2e without buying the full conversion kits?
I'm assuming at the very least that I'll be able to fly them as whatever ships the 2e Core has cards for beyond the included TIEs+X-Wing? Or are ship/pilot dials or whatever going to be my downfall?

You're going to be short dials for sure. The Resistance and FO factions won't have conversion kits until the next wave though
Wampa is a real interesting card! And initiative 1.
Seyn has Wampa's 1.0 ability. Definitely worded much more elegantly this time around.
Gideon has Scourge's 1.0 ability as well. I like that all these TIEs (except Del) have ways to roll extra dice or push extra damage through!

I was feeling negative about the 2.0 announcement, but the developer video (that Elvenshae posted) has turned me around. It really helped me to see why some of the changes were made and how they interact, and what has remained (mostly) the same, and why.
I'm still not sure it's for me, as a casual player due to cost, but it looks like a pretty good game.
HWKs are getting 2 mods!
B-wings have 2 cannon slots
A-wings have no mods
YTs getting an Illicit slot
Starwings have a configuration
Interceptors get 2 mods
TIE Bombers and Punishers have almost the same upgrade slots available (bombers have EPT, Punishers have Systems)
Strikers get a Gunner and Bomb
Fang Fighters get no mods
Jumpmasters have torpedoes again
Khiraxz are getting 3 mods (Vaksai built in?)
Star Vipers get a System slot baked in, but no Illicit
(Seems like most scum upgrades lines were unchanged)

Yes, in the upgrades list.
Also there's going to be Scum Tobias Beckett and 0-0-0 crew. BT-1 gunner.
0-0-0 and BT-1 can be Imp with Vader.
Tarkin crew. Seventh Sister and Fifth Brother are crew and gunner, respectively. Don't think we've seen those.

two mod slots on the HWK might mean I can try Kyle Katarn again
2 mod slots on the HWK 100000% solidify it as Most Improved.
2 Dice Turret base, better dial, Moldy Crow gives it a 3-dice primary arc, and now more mods? Yes please!
Publishing these lists may mean we start to get tentative list builders available. (YA)XWSB is usually up to date within a day or two of updates. (Obviously, this is a looot of changes)
