"Best form up then", Har mutters, grip tightening on her two-handed hammer.
Har steps in front of Victor (2 squares south), and gets ready to Counter.
Not sure how much health these guys have, but looking to Lunge-move only if it gets more enemies within range of Har's Sweep.
If it does, then any 6 damage from the Sweep goes on the most injured first.
Otherwise, we're just going to be Lunging repeatedly at the one guy.
Light green: ground
Light brown: cart that costs 2 Speed to climb on
Dark green: dense vegetation that blocks vision
Dark brown: trees that block vision and cost 2 Speed to move on
Aub is going to move to D5 and face south.
Edit: I'm just assuming when we look at that map that North is up.
Yep, I'll just go with compass directions since people are saying it that way.
Also, I should mention that the "Rea" column marks when that character has already reacted that round.
Colonel and Bitsy stamp nervously, but otherwise stay still.
Regular 1 pushes through the brush to B6.
Regular 2 closes in on the party, moving to F7.
Regular 3 moves in towards Har and swings his sword!
Geth, roll 1d10 for choppy choppy.
Har would take 6 damage, but Victor takes 3 of it instead with Spirit Bond.
Har counters for 4 damage with Lunge!
End of Round 1
Victor can change his Spirit Bond target, but he probably doesn't want to.
At the end of the round, the party can hear another two enemies arrive...
@discrider Sorry, I made another map error...I'll move Aub to D5 as directed. For the sweeping weapon: melee range is like movement, it's cardinal directions only.
Waves rock the boat as Har regains her footing.
Peering over the side, she focuses her attention on her attacker.
Regular 3 weaves through the brush as he recovers from Har's counter-attack. "I see you" states a piercing set of glowing blue eyes, and Har's hammer quickly follows.
Har uses Purging Grasp:
Geth roll 2#1d10 for reflex, purging
Har's attempt to dispel the bandit fails, but the hammer sweeps up below his guard nonetheless, dealing 6 damage! He barely stands his ground. Any solid hit would take him down.
I should mention just as a reminder, Purging Grasp isn't a melee attack, it's a touch (1-tile) range attack. You won't be able to sweep with it, but you could, for example, use it while you have your bow out.
Yeah, I used to have more wording, but then the sentences were clunky. Thinking of adding on an icon to the card or something, I dunno.
Since we're on the subject, I should also mention that "construct" is another keyword - those are things created by other characters, like undead minions or smoke clouds or whatever. You only get the heal if you break one of those. Don't worry, a dispel attack for 9 damage is really good against random bandits cultists anyway.
Victor winces briefly as Har is hit. The bond that he put in place shares Har's pain with him, allowing him to take a portion of it away and keep Har from being beaten down as easily. Still, no matter how many times he has felt it through the bond, it never gets easier.
The bandits were closing in, and it seemed like Har was the prime target at the moment, so Victor reached into himself again, remembering that time he had gotten Har to fling her drink, only to dodge it as it dumped itself on Aub. A smile on his face, he pointed to Har, and enveloped her in a flash of light, the positive energy granting her added respond to the attacks of the bandits.
Sorry, was building a swingset all day yesterday so collapsed last night and didn't check the thread.
Cast Aura Flash on Har, granting Stability. Also, Har is lowest health, so heal for 5.
@joshgotro This is a great time to use Defensive Stance, as it's a self buff, so I'll just do that.
I should also remind people real quick that you can only have one bane and one boon at the time. When you apply one, you can choose not to overwrite it if you'd like. I mention this because it might come into play if Aub uses Measured Strike, or Victor gives someone clarity instead.
You can have any number of special effects from cards (like Defensive Stance) at once, though effects with the same name don't stack.
Regular 1 moves to B4 and swings his shortsword with a sneer, but Aub could hardly be more prepared, and counters for 6 damage.
Geth, roll 1d10 for number 1.
Regular 2 moves to F6 and attacks Har, again having his strike mitigated by Victor's bond. Har and Victor both take 3 damage.
Har uses Duelist's Finesse to Lunge at Regular 3, defeating him, and striking Regular 2 as well for 6 damage!
Regular 4 moves to B9.
At the end of the round, Regular 3's spirit almost gutters out...
I had a little misplay, but Har actually held onto her reaction until #2 moved into position. Since she has 10 Ref I should actually be skipping rolls!
The robed figure pushes through the brush to D7, and Har can make out a woman's form as she raises a staff. She sings a short, rising string of notes, and Har recognizes the voice - the singer from the inn back in town. At the same moment, the ground beneath her shudders and turns to thick, grasping mud in an instant.
The singer then angrily shouts "None of you better be thinking of running! We must fulfill our task!"
Geth, roll 1d10 for inspirational speech?
The singer uses Engulfing Morass, covering a 3x3 square from F5:H7. The area costs 2 Speed to move into, and dashing and teleporting is impossible while inside. At the end of the round, those still inside will be attacked, inflicting damage and slow.
Note Regular 2 has already reacted this round, so you don't need to roll to attack him.
Victor almost jumps as the vegetation around his feet grows, the voice calling from his right clearly the culprit. "Well now, can't be standing around in whatever this mess is." he says as he steps backwards and shifts to his right, giving him a clearer view of both Har and Aub.
Even though he had taken some of the pain that was targeted at Har, Har was still a little beaten herself, so once again the Radiant raised his hands and released energy towards Har. It resulted in a bright flash of light surrounding the woman.
Moved to E4.
Cast Aura Flash on Har. Lowest HP, so healing 5.
Side effect is attempted to blind Regular 2.
@discrider You can't use parts of skills with the "dash" keyword. If the whole thing requires a dash like Cover then you're SOL. You can still Lunge at people adjacent to you, though.
The man in front of Aub curses, and his eyes turn to the nearby cart. He moves to B2 and attempts to unhook Colonel, and calm him enough to ride.
Geth, roll 1d10 for animal handling
Fumbling, he can't even manage to untie the knots, and the horse snorts angrily and seems inclined to attack!
#2, blinded, looking as fearful of who's behind as who's in front, moves to E5 and flails at Victor, dealing 6 damage. An instant later, Har swings and takes him down.
#4 pushes up to C7, hearing some horrible noises but sufficiently inspired to continue.

@AustinP0027 Victor's turn!
It's not really obvious that 'melee' is the specific keyword.
I'd perhaps make a bigger point of it on touch attacks.
I mainly took it for the healing though (luckily) :P

Bad guys coming shortly!

@discrider Har's turn!
"Yield", she intones, eyes flaring.
Geth roll 1d10 for You best drop your weapons and run
And then I guess I move to D6
He looks nervously over his shoulder, but does not move.
@discrider make an attack roll for Execute.
Geth roll 1d10 For putting the hammer down
@Xagar if you haven't seen
@discrider, you can't make it to D6, where would you like to move? You could move to E5 or Shadow Walk on Victor or #2.
She hadn't quite intended to pop through the aether like that.
She moves to E6 if that's visible to Victor, or F5 otherwise.
The singer then angrily shouts "None of you better be thinking of running! We must fulfill our task!"
Geth, roll 1d10 for inspirational speech?

@AustinP0027 Victor's turn!
It would need to be centered elsewhere.
Whoops.
Started =/= centered
@discrider Yep, she aimed right under Har and angled it into the stand of brush.
Geth, roll 1d10 for Blinding (beat 2)
Does dashing become normal movement, or just not at all?
Measured Strike on #1 then move to [A, 6] and Focused Defense to the east.
Geth roll 1d10 to stab man in chest.
@joshgotro you need to make an attack roll.
Current map is always on its own tab in the spreadsheet! I'll post the current one though (Aub's turn):
@joshgotro You can't make it to A6, did you want to move somewhere else?
Edit: No. #1 needs handling. Also Jesus add Focused Defense at #1.
