Shadow-Gizmo brandished every weapon it had, and he made it through?
I kinda wish they showed us how he made it through though. How Donald defeated an evil fully-armed Gizmoduck armour is a legitimate question in my mind...
Since his voice box started electrocuting him right before that fight, I assumed Shadow-Gizmo would grab him and get shocked and the armour would short-circuit or something along those lines, but since he still has the electrocution voice box later on that's not what happened.
As fun as badass Donald is, Mrs. Beakley's reaction to him with baffled respect really sells it.
And I love how this show sets everything up perfectly. Waaaaaay back in the episode with Louie and Scrooge meeting Gyro at the bin, the bin seems weirdly low. But they don't mention it or even make any kind of point of it, it's just there for you to notice or not.
One of the great things that people don't think about much: tons of badass adults and elders, not just the typical tweens and teens saving/destroying the world.

Not to mention how tightfisted the vulture brothers are. I'm guessing that before Della duck they wouldn't even have blinked if he had evil scientists and crazy pilots on his payroll.

The interesting thing is that within the comics, it was on a hill, but also built with booby traps all around to protect it. With the bin built into and through rock down to the ocean floor, it provides honestly more of a . . . spectacle. When the comics and concept originally came about, having a big bin on a hill made sense from a prestige sort of angle, but now, with him as an adventurer (and employer of more than a few characters one accident away from trying to take over the world) an almost super-spy/super-hero style bin feels right.
Which, I would note, seems to be behind many of the changes to canon of previous Duck family concepts in this iteration of Ducktales. I'd wager that they got the feeling they could do this by watching the overall reaction to their MCU materials, and how small or even big changes in the overall concepts and narrative arcs were received, and I think it gave Disney the stones, basically, to just let some of their old stuff go, or to reinvent old stuff to make it feel new and fresh.
That is, I think, the reason for so much success on this show's part, both a willingness to play to and deviate from established materials, and to know when to use which method.

I mean (seriously, spoilers)
He is the storm.
I also loved Beakley dropping Donald lines while on the boat and the fact that they called back to literally every episode from the whole season.

Nothing there but capitalist Khans and lazy-ass bears.
It's worth noting that Donald has been this badass the entire season.
Remember the beatdown he gave the beagle boys in episode 2?
It was so perfect.
I really hope Lena ends up okay. I guess we'll see.
Meh I heard its heyday was in like the 40s
My only nitpick was
Remember that time Donald was defeated by a stapler?

I'm wondering if Magica being trapped in the dime . . . changed the moon. I'm not sure exactly how, but her, the moon, the eclipse.
I've got no other explanation, but I'm interested to see how they explain it.
She was flung into the depths of space, so that’s where you look.

Such a well-written review.
Especially "Visually, the new Mrs. Beakley suggests Henry Cavill wearing shoulder pads made of other Henry Cavills."

Didn't. Even. Wince.
Shadow War was just.......flat out I think the best animated movie I've seen since the original Lego Movie. And
I'm buying this when it comes out on DVD, absolutely worth every penny to keep them making this.
It's kinda rare for shows of this quality to keep going for very long. Who knows, though.
Just gotta Venture Bros it. LET THEM TAKE THEIR TIME PEOPLE.
