More of my results from our fun group game 'telestrations' -- write a prompt on the top page of a stack of paper scraps (equal in number to those playing), pass the stack to your neighbor. They move the prompt to the bottom of the stack, and have 2 minutes to draw that prompt on the next page. Once 2 minutes is up, you pass the stack (drawing on top) to the next neighbor down the line, they now move the drawing to the bottom of the stack, and have to write a prompt based on the drawing, to pass to the next person. Rinse. Repeat. The ideas take some very strange turns. Flip the stack over for another round!
"Buy this cereal I shit in it"
"Someone, no doubt, in the not so distant future"
"Oh n-- aw crap this was the fountain of age. dang."
"gollum couldn't resist a perfect deli sandwich," thought sam, stupidly.

Arrggh I am so rusty after 5 years of not drawing at all. I've been slowly working back at it for the last 2 months now though, and honestly I feel like I regained a part of myself that had been lost.
For now, glad to be back and good to meet Everyone!
In addition to that telestrations game I keep talking about, sometimes my friends and I also play the penguin game. One person draws a random, closed shape (or two or three) on a piece of paper. The next person has to turn it into a penguin.
Then someone thought they'd be clever and made shapes with a CLEAR INTENT.
I used some charcoal pencils for the first time in a billion years today. Also used some gold acrylic ink because my gold leaf hasn't got here yet and I wanted to try something similar to a thing I saw.
@Esiotrot Where can I buy a pemple? I would like to raise one as my surrogate child.
I've got some limited prints to sell if you're interested, they're not up on any stores yet but if you're interested still PM me and I can sort one out for you

@Prospicience the rendering is so good, i too thought it was an old timey photograph, alas.
messing around with some new techniques, started with a watercolour painting, then drew on top using a light box then combined the two. Was the most fun I've had drawing/painting for years.

The recent new movie was a milestone for Hellboy, but there was another big one with the wrap-up of the main comic series. I don't do much fan art (and I really should do more) but I was inspired to make this:
Got to a point where I was overworking and called it quits, but I learned a lot from this and was happy I could take it further than I normally take my doodles.
I got a new iPad Pro with the Apple Pen 2 and tried out sketching during our Star Wars pen/paper rpg session in Procreate. This is honestly like carrying a cintiq around in my hands and I'm in love.

this looks super dark on my phone but looks good on my PC, not sure which to trust! I think I'm ready to call this done now though.
This has got a bit of that Mike Mitchell fat bird look, I mean that as very high praise.
Doodle! At work, being so productive.

Today's random art prompt was "Beast Master":

Then I drew some clouds, which I always do.

My gold leaf arrived so that's the next thing I have to tackle/figure out. Stuff was $50 for 25 sheets so I can't mess it up.
Now I can finally replace my decade+ old avatar with a piece of work that's actually mine.
