If you are on PC I am pretty sure there was a fast travel mod for General Knoxx.
Yeah, you have to install the Oasis mod which allows custom maps and then the dlc fast travel map which is a central hub that has travel to all unique locations in all the dlcs.
It's not as convenient as if they had added actual fast travel stations to the Knoxx maps, but it still faster than driving everywhere.

The only drawback I ever experienced in Knoxx was the fact that there was only the one fast travel station. Like, it was quicker to just quit out of the game and reload your character then to drive from one side of the map to the, well, middle.
Yeah after the allure of driving the highways wears off (and it wears off like almost immediately) the lack of fast travel just drives you nuts
Like I said, the vehicles feel like you're driving a potato and I don't think BL2 did much to fix that because I did get to some of the driving spots in that one.

If you listen closely, you can hear my angry scream. How the hell did I not know about this mod! Driving through empty spaces is the worst part of Borderlands! Goddamnit. I really hope they improve on that in BL3

This. Cross play is the only reason I would buy this. Loved 1 and 2, but everyone went to Xbox/PS4 after I went PC (thanks for saying you would switch, friends, then doing the exact opposite).

The epic store may have it's issues but they are getting business by offering developers more favorable terms and the frothing legion of players losing their shit over having to use an additional free launcher can all fuck off.

Yeah if it was exclusive on GoG, or Humble, I would be annoyed but would probably have still pre-ordered. I'm boycotting EGS largely over their shitheel behavior and the tencent links, not because it isn't on steam. Also I hate exclusives in general.
On the one hand what Epic is doing makes perfect business sense. It's what any company would do, and I can't necessarily fault them for doing it.
On the other hand, the act itself is... not good. They're just walking in and trying to bully the competition away with money. With the bonus that they're being utterly incompetent doing it.
