Is the ADL bad? I don't know enough about them. I did reach out to them when I was in high school and asked about the proper nomenclature for some stuff and they were very friendly and helpful at the time.
I wouldn't say bad
but I would say that saying just "anti-hate group" is a bit disingenous because honestly "pro-israel" would be equally true (and it would also be disingenuous to call them just an israeli advocacy group, also. I'd say, don't put the description in the headline, you don't have room to be accurate.)
It's what I've named our collective attempt at getting in better shape.
I did 30 pushups this morning.
i am exercising. as usual, diet is proving to be the real problem for me. kind of stressed about it- made a bunch of progress in the past year, don't want to backsliiiiiide. body insecurity and binge eating are a nightmare.
Can I recommend the stress of moving to keep you from getting hungry. It's working for me!

Its more complex than that.
They do a lot of work in the US focused on anti-semitism. There are very few groups that do that that are Jewish run without some sort of connection to Israel because Israel does a lot of funding for that type of stuff.
I have actual research in my notes that I can dig up showing that open offices are cancer, if anybody cares.
They reduce productivity, increase stress, and promote the spread of infectious disease.
Both auditory and visual distractions contribute to stress, so using glass doesn't help. (Also glass reflects sound so it's a terrible noise barrier)
Full offices are best. Tall cubicles are a close second.
The sad thing is that we've fucking known this since the 1950s, but as Upton Sinclair said, "it is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on his not understanding it."
is it cheaper, accounting for turnover and reduced productivity?
I suspect it's not cheaper - i.e. that it IS cheaper in the long run to treat workers better, a la Costco / WF - and that makes me wonder why they haven't changed
I don't know!
I do know that very few companies will do that kind of calculus
All they see is reduced facilities costs
every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.
i'm pretty sure his fans would have been pissed about a donation to J Street or the SPLC and whatever legitimate complaints about the ADL have been raised aren't the issue

Some days Blue wonders why anyone ever bothered making numbers so small; other days she supposes even infinity needs to start somewhere.

Most companies are really bad at non-sales secondary/tertiary related cost/benefit analysis.
He had no intention on donating shit to the ADL, what he wanted was news story saying he would, and then news stories saying he wasn't. He got both, hooray asshole wins again.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
I saw it as an opportunity to put an end to these alt-right claims that have been thrown against me. It wasn’t to try and clear my name or say grace. If it was, I would have done it years ago.
PDP didn't donate solely because they criticized him, any valid issues with ADL are irrelevant
oh I meant more that I expected it to be along the lines of "was going to donate to Southern Poverty Law Center but he has been informed by his fans that they'd rather he donate to the Nordic Resistance Movement so he did that"
DRX just drove away for a work meeting. This is the first time he's ever driven alone since becoming the proud owner of a New Hampshire driver's license on Tuesday. It was such a strange sight to see him alone in the car from the window. I'm really proud of him. I feel this is an invitation for me to drink heartily more often knowing I have a DD!

I initially read this as DMX and it still made sense to me. "Yeah he seems like the kind of guy who would take a while to get a license, but X going to give it to you am I right?"

This past month, we here at CodeWeavers and the wider Wine community suffered a devastating loss. Our friend and colleague, Józef Kucia, died at the age of 28.
Józef first contributed to Wine in March of 2012, showing remarkable skill with Wine’s D3D technology. He became a key contributor to Wine, submitting over 2,500 patches. He also contributed to other open source projects including Mesa and Debian. Józef founded and led the vkd3d project and provided insight and guidance to the Vulkan working group.
This August, Józef took an extended vacation to the Tatra mountains to explore the longest and deepest cave in Poland, Wielka Sniezna ("Great Snowy Cave"). While exploring, he and another member of his group of six became separated by an unexpected flow of water. Despite an extensive rescue operation, Józef and his companion died.
If you simply must go outside don't go into a cave

The only reason cubicles and open offices are cheaper is if you want to change layout for whatever reason.
If you have an office space and you're not planning to rejigger it to focus your feng shui or sell it in 5 years, it's still cheaper to just build the offices and give people a private space.
Worst case you just have to move furniture around and reprint a plaque inside the office.
not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me

Well, the reason for rescinding the donation was more antisemitic conspiracy theories over the donation rather than their anti-Palestinian beliefs.
And he even admitted the reason for it was to make himself look better instead of at least pretending to give a wit about anti-semitism

I'm guessing 1200. Could be much higher or lower.

Trenton can't help you now. This train will not stop. Everyone will call to see where you are, but your phone will be dead.
Yep. I was trying to be taking Amtrak, but I am currently taking NJ transit.

word. my brother in law lives there right next to rutgers. You should come to NYC one day for drinks. No one will ever visit you.
I wouldn't worry too much about that, I've taken the wrong train every time I've gotten on NJ Transit and the conductors sorts it out for you quick
You just have to wait like 45 minutes to... several hours in Trenton
