But do these allow for the custom build sabers? Somehow I doubt it.
The external housing might be customizable, and you could probably pick from different pre-set colors. I don't know that you'd be able to swap the crystals in and out, like with the Savi's Workshop ones.
It seems like not allowing for customization would be a miss, considering how popular Savi's is.
Disney writers don't have the option of wiping The Rise of Skywalker out of continunity, no matter how richly it deserves that. So they have to make it work and fit as best they can. So the current volume of the Darth Vader comic (set post Empire Strikes Back) is doing some backfill for all that TRoS stuff. Luuke probably won't come about... but they totally could, all the building blocks are there.
Luke Skywalker died in TLJ so obviously that must also be undone.
To placate the Star Wars fans who have been angry at everything since the Disney Buyout (besides Mandalorian and certain Clone Wars content) Disney will now establish that it was Luuuke who died in TLJ and tutored Rey while the real Luke was swashbuckling his way across the galaxy in secret, fucking hot, force-using redheads, birthing cool, edgy, darkside babies, blowing up ever-more-powerful super weapons, and fighting on the front lines of wars against hostile alien species that are invading the central galaxy from scary, foreign galaxies. It just all had to be done in secret for plot reasons.

I will give it this, the vader comic has been the first to have tros material where I didn't absolutely hate it. I don't think it's great but it didn't ruin everything unlike rise of kylo ren and freefall
The comic doesn't say anything specific about what the hand or Exegol is for, and there's a whole pile of other clones as potential backups/replacements for Vader; it makes Exegol seem very fitting as part of the general 'palpatine has like a thousand backup plans' trend that the prequels started.
Except it also has the Final Order ships under construction with some ready already, complete with death star lasers, and that's REAL dumb when the second death star isn't even finished

I say this as still a solid fan of legends EU
The death star destroyers are the most universe breaking concept, and the fact that they can be beaten by a couple of shots to the most exposed portion may be the dumbest thing in a franchise that routinely has giant flashing weak points hit for extra damage

Ah yes, the "any time an EU-original character survives Clone Wars-era content" approach. Always a classic

But the Sun Crusher is right there...
Granted, the Sun Crusher was a single ship. I suppose the secret fleet of thousands of planet killing Star Destroyers probably push them into the top spot.

See I can buy one prototype weapon, that staggers the mind with its power. And then they needed a black hole to destroy it.
Also what was star killer base but the star crusher with the weak point of the death star
starkiller base was pretty goofy but i do appreciate the increasingly unsubtle and ominous hints that it used to be Ilum, that's one of the few after-the-fact lore things that actually works for me on multiple levels
I like the thematic angle of the empire just coring a place the jedi regarded sacred and turning it into a gun. and also it's just a great palpatine bm, gotta love that
I'm jumping back into Battlefront 2 instant actions for fun shooty wars in the stars. It's nice. I've played Fallen Order 2 or 3 times. Need some new stuff, man.
While I...appreciate the imagery of Starkiller Base powering up by sucking up a sun, it really would have worked better if the beam just hit a star, and it going nova wiped out the targeted system.

Next game is the fallen order sequel right ?don’t know of any others in development.

I wonder if my memories of the Dark Empire comics normalized the concept of a resurrected clone Palpatine in my mind enough that I didn't have a surprised or negative reaction to him in TRoS. "Palpatine's back, yeah, that's just a thing that happens."

I can't think of a single redeeming feature of TRoS.
Which is crazy, because even the worst Prequel movies had some good ideas or concepts in them.

there was two things
rotting emperor
and Han's... ghost? letting Kylo have a redo of their encounter in TFA and become Ben again, like how Vader became Anakin again after sacrificing himself.
edit: geez did I spend that whole entire movie waiting for Luuke though.
edit2: Think about how dope that would have been, Palps all "ha ha meet my newest... apprentice." and red lightsaber in the dark and fuckin' young Luke walks out.
It would have been something other than that wet fart nothing of a movie we got. I dunno if it would have been good, but that's not really the bar we're looking to clear here.

I dunno. Dark Empire came out within 10 years of ROTJ and was set like 5 years after? As opposed to 30 or so on both fronts for TROS. That immediacy helps, I think. Plus he showed up and kicked ass, as opposed to announcing his return in Fortnite and then waiting for everyone to come to him. And once they crapped out DE 2 and Empire’s End, that was it for Sheev in the present of the EU, I thought.

Well I personally only became aware of it after encountering World Devastators in Rogue Squadron and looking up where they came from, so that's mentally connected for me more with the leadup to Phantom Menace.

I'm guessing that they're probably pretty sturdy, but won't hold up to like...lightsaber fights or whatever.
The mechanism starts to go bad and you gotta grab the blade by hand to extend it all the way out.
You go to use your lightsaber and you realize you didn't hook it back on your belt you left it up on top of the ladder outside on the deck.
Lightsabers operating like tape measures is very funny to me.
The return of Luuke is nigh

god it would never happen in a million years but if the luke who shows up in the mandalorian was revealed to be a fake i would die laughing

The Sun Crusher was destroyed by a Crushed Sun, what dramatic irony

There's a remake of Knights of the Old Republic from the original Xbox in the pipeline.

Gimme an RPG set during the Clone Wars. I've seen Tattooine 1 billion times. I'd like to explore Courascant with next gen tech.
