Wyoming seems like it would be appallingly cheap place to run a campaign in, which means it's be cheap to fund a usurper but also that Cheney probably has zero issue getting as much money as she needs to run her own campaign party money or not.

The Right Wing Media Demagoguery machine is very effective especially when aimed at women. If it doesn't let up, eventually she will be suspected of serial child murder by enough primary voters to send her home.
Wyoming has an Open Primary, and the House Seat is At-Large. So she has less to be concerned about regarding the Party militants. Not nothing to be worried about, mind you. Just less. Within the caucus itself the main thing is whether they can stop tripping over their own insanity to rally around someone to oust her. Which is at best a 50/50 chance.
It's a fairly frightening prospect to watch, given there are no guarantees in elections.
Yeah, Trump is running in 2024, and Trump backed or supporting candidates will win in 2022. It’s the trump party now, and agreeing with whatever he says is their only platform. If you want to be a hawk conservative who doesn’t back trump, maybe join the Democratic Party

I'm not so sure; Back in 2012 we all thought it was going to be christie or jeb because that's what the tealeaves were telling us, and in 2005 It was easy to declare hillary.
And while the base might love trump for being america's Id, it's entirely possible that between his creditors and criminal procedings he simply isn't going to be in a position to run (and I seriously doubt the donor class will back him for a third run).
As such Liz might very well come out of this as being one of the strongest republicans in the party if she can whether the storm coming her way.
Unless he’s dead, I don’t see how Trump’s ego doesn’t force him to run in 2024.
He both loves attention and hates being thought of as a “loser” in any way. I feel like he’ll do everything he can to prove he can beat Biden.
Here's the thing; he might not be in a position to. Deutche bank is going to be looking for money he can't exactly cough up without selling off a pile of his assets and SDNY is coming for him. Further the donor class took it in the pants last time trump was around and they're not going to be too eager to back him for another 4 years given the sheer volume of bullshit that occured under his watch.
Hence why Liz could potentially be ridiculously strong if she successfully weathers this shit storm.

Have there been any high profile committee hearings that anyone's followed? I haven't heard much on the House or Senate front, but it might just be boring quiet competent government running in the background.

Bannon apparently figured it out and has mentioned it as a thing. No idea if Trump actually pays attention to Bannon anymore though.

I'm not sure he even cares all that much if he loses his next election, or if he thinks nuking the filibuster would help.

Deutche Bank has been sitting around waiting for trump to pay them off for an inordinately long time (likely due to russian influence) but all signs point to them wanting to be paid sometime in 2022 which would cripple trump at the financial level.

They aren't empowered to do that in every State that is a reasonable pickup chance. Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina all have Democratic Governors. Meanwhile Georgia is the only pickup for the Republicans to defend against, and Stacey Abrams will be on the ballot there.

I would consider these to be exceptions to the rule. I think the unreasonable assumption to take is that rich and powerful will feel consequences automagically. They wont without a lot of sustained will and effort.
Epstein suffered, but how many other wealthy members that visited his island are currently roaming consequence free? That's the current norm.
Biden is meeting with Republicans for Infrastructure Week on Wednesday. So odds are some Sturm und Drang around then about partisanship and then it starts markup without any Republicans. Pelosi has already targeted getting it done before the August Recess.

Take the assurance that only up to four counties can be nullified - let me guess, how many densely-populated blue-leaning counties there are in Georgia?
Or that it all ends up in the lap of the Sec of State, a position currently occupied by someone who wasn't willing to blatantly throw the election to Trump, even when the latter called him up to hint at exactly that; what if we're not so lucky next time?
