The reason I am happy is that new folks might watch RGU.
Gotta spread the gospel.
Our Oujou-sama in Ohtori Academy, Nanami be your name.
Your brother come, your egg be done, at brunch as it is at tea time.
Give us this day our daily duel, and forgive us our clip shows, as we also have forgiven that cat.
And lead us not to End of the World, but deliver us from Akio.
Ok spoilers of a sort for Gridman. Don't read these until you've watched it or leak it outside of spoilers in the replies since there's folks starting it soon.
I knew it was referencing tokusatsu show stuff. I thought it was more generally. I did not realize it was very specifically an actual 90s show being directly referenced including one that had been adapted into english power rangers style starring Matthew Lawrence.
Watched the first episode of actual Gridman and they have the digtal world, basically digital lucifer corrupting the shy kid, they build Junk, Gridman comes from elsewhere, when building Junk there's a line about the graphics card and how he found it specifically in a stores trash bin.
The room Gridman is in when they talk to him in the show is the room the kids in the anime are in at the end. The theme song they play in the final fights is of course the theme from the actual show.
Someone mentioned recently watching Nomad and it is like pretty incredible how much better season 2 of Megalobox is compared to season 1.
Like season 1 was something I enjoyed but it was very uneven and at least a big chunk of why I really liked it in spite of it not really firing on all cylinders half the time was because it was such a throwback to the kind of shows made twenty years.
Nomad though feels a lot more like its own thing, and it does it real damn well.

It’s out here on Blu-ray now!
But seems to be using TOKU’s (the former Amazon Channels streaming service that’s now its own standalone thing) subs which… well they’re passable… compared to their Faiz subs…
huh Kyokou Suiri (In/Spectre) is coming back for a new season next year
I totally forgot about this over the pandemic
Yay, more stuff with cool characters who have mundane prosthetics.
Unless it goes way off the rails or something. I don't know what happens in the manga.
It was already a show about 4chan made by people who had only heard about the internet from their grandchildren. Not saying it can't go further off the rails, because lord knows it has company in that regard in Gatchaman Crowds, but it was already pretty fucking far off in a strange world all its own.

Unicorn also on Netflix!
Netflix actually has quite a bit of Gundam, so I was surprised NT wasn't there
Since I'm trying to get them their Ace bonus right now, Amuro, Jona, and Usso have been running roughshod over the past few stages and the NT music, Vigilante, is kind of a banger

I'm really digging this show.
IIRC the official YouTube uploads are more strictly region-restricted than CR.

well the quality on youtube is, to be frank, kind of garbage.
Gotta spread the gospel.
Both of them are still unavailable in Sweden, fwiw, so I don't know what that venn diagram looks like.

according to wikipedia, they intentionally named him in reference to the singer.

A name being inspired by another name is not "this name equals this other name."

You're right but also it's close enough and explicit enough for me.
