    Just finished up a playthrough of Lies of P, my first true soulsborne-esque game (unless you count Remnant, but that was mostly guns). I enjoyed it, mostly for the story and setting, though I don't feel much interest in a second playthrough. I kinda want to check out Elden Ring with the new DLC coming out though - I know a bit about the lore and setting, and that seems to be the main draw for me when it comes to games these days. Cool character design, intruiging setting... 'fun gameplay' is sort've an optional extra.

    Nevermind I quit.

    Just constant internal retcons like "so long as you're wearing this they won't be able to track you" then two chapters later "Oh this other group of people can track you though because of this."

    Straight up convenient amnesia where the person suddenly remembers something relevant to the plot.

    Characters keeping secrets from each other for no discernable reason.

    Just bleh. Bleh.

    And if you don't want to use Reduvia for whatever reason, the Bloody Slash ash of war at Fort Haight can give you blood affinity to a sword, and Bleed is still really busted for much of the game.

    I've had hot honey before and it's good for a few seconds before I realize I've already swallowed the piece of bread it was on and yet the heat just keeps increasing. And it doesn't stop even as I'm hunting for some form of pseudo dairy product to quell the inferno

    So I’ve been rereading all the Jack Reacher books and am getting towards the end of the ones written by Lee Child. Got to Past Tense and it is as weird as it was the first time.
    It is two completely separate plots. One has Reacher looking into where his dad was born because he happened to be nearby and the other is a couple who get captured by a fake motel and hunted for sport by rich people. Reacher only stumbles into the hunting plot at the very end, at which point the couple have almost completely managed to escape due to their own intelligence and skills. He basically just helps with cleanup.

    It is just a very odd book in the series.

    If you haven't figured out the drainage, you'll have to deal with heaving as possibly cracking in the Winter.

    Have you considered putting in weeping tile or a trench to move water away from the pit?

    Making slow cooker butter chicken.

    The sauce already rules. You gotta caramelize the onions and then blend it, that's the trick I don't know why I never tried blending the sauce before.

    Anyway, taking off from Dance Till You Stop...the new album appears to be their attempt at different genres, or at least pastiches. Galaxy Hamster and Dance Till You Stop might not seem odd, being genres they've done before, but then there's Nut Heat, which is a doo-wop song. Let's Save The Earth is a pretty transparent attempt to mimic not just the content but the form of 80s and 90s "cause" songs. Dig Ol' Bick feels like CCR. Sports Anthem is pretty self-explanatory. And to my delight Death Metal is not.

    today i made box mix brownies.

    i added in vanilla and cinnamon and some jarred cherries.

    no idea how they taste yet but they smelled good.
