Sounds pretty awesome, but I've yet to see it.
I would like to see that film.
I liked The Good Shepherd, but it may have been a little long. Then again, maybe not. I only saw it once.

Couple of friends, movie going trusted opinon friends, stated they didnt dig it. That the techniques took away from the film somewhat, but that the black and white was used to good effect. Average story. And that Clooney was good, but not great. They said Good Night, and Good Luck was so much better.

So, rental?
Good Night, and Good Luck.
K. I'll save my theatre-going bucks for Pan's Labyrinth.
I was highly entertained by both movies, but if thinking it's a bit ridiculous to call them "good" makes me a faggot, then please sign me up for the freaky buttsex.
V for Vendetta wasn't a god awful movie, I don't think. I read the book before watching the movie, and I could already tell from the trailer that they changed a lot of pretty vital stuff. So as I walked in the theater to see the movie, I put all prior knowledge of the book aside and enjoyed the movie as just that, and it did not disappoint.

Please tell me that by "book," you mean THIS, and not THIS.
Because if you mean the latter, you are a fantastic dipshit.

Yes I mean the comic, not the novel adaptation of the film, HUR HUR.

Also, my picks this year are:
Apocalypto
Casino Royale
Blood Diamond
Inside Man
And I KNOW Pan's Labyrinth will be awesome.
edit:
Also, how in fuck's name did I forget The Departed? I think that and Apocalypto tie for best film of the year in my mind.
God I hope you're right. I don't want to have to wait until DVD release for those movies too.
Because if you mean the latter, you are a fantastic dipshit.
