If I'm not one of those seven I'm down. I'll at the very least have a dwarf alt. And I think a lot of the TSM people will have order alts.
While you are certainly welcome amongst us, TSM and the Candymancers are planning to keep alts out of the main guilds, and have "ally guilds" for alts.
Also, unless someone comes up with a good idea that is based on PA stuff soon, we're going to be the Faerie Candymancers simply because I'm already working on the real forums.
Why keep alts out of the main guild? They'll help with numbers, and I don't see how they could hurt.
Everquest 2 had a guild system in which guild members could earn points to "level up" the guild. However, the number of points received had a weird formula applied to it, in which they were reduced based on the number of members. So, in Everquest 2 you didn't want a ton of inactive, or barely active characters in your guild.
So the update, they still got alot of work to get this game up to WoW's standards for how everything looks in motion. You have to mash keys if you want stuff to die quickly (or stare at your hotbar rather than your character, because it flashes when you can press the next button), and this causes your character to do their best impression of an epileptic.
This only applies to melee, as of writing casters and ranged classes are pretty much launch ready

It hurts when a big-ass Destruction raid is up in yer town, you call on all your Order guildmates and realize they are on their Destro mains, kicking your ass.

how isn't key mashing like wow?
EXECUTE EXECUTE EXECUTE FUUUUUUUCK!
The game is set JUST LIKE WOW with its keys and repop timers... honestly, WoW is more button-mashing than WAR. WoW just queues up the next ability when it's ready, while WAR makes you press it when it's up.
Less button mashing = more learning your CD's and gaining some SKILLZ MOFO

My assumption is, when a big-ass Destruction raid is up in yer town, you call on all your Order guildmates and realize they are on their Destro mains, kicking your ass.
You guys just wait. The Faeriemancers are gonna rock everything so hard, the Mouths will be rolling ten alts each just to get in on the Order action more. ;P
its a penny arcade guild, you need to have something to do with penny arcade in your name or the name sucks
I also agree with that assessment. Right now not many people are saying they want to participate, though, so I'm giving weight to those people who are vocal participants. I've got... what, like 7 Penny Arcade guys saying they want an Order guild? Are there a bunch of people just not vocalizing, or are we really that limited right now?
Count me in for order. I'm loving the White Lion. I also bump "When the children cry" every time I play
WoW just queues up the next ability when it's ready.
Nitpick, but this is true for, like... 2 skills. on the other 99%, you have to press it when it's available.
True, it only works on 'on next strike' abilities such as Heroic Strike.
I was a tank, so I guess I got accustomed to it But WoW supported button-mashing for your next ability, where WAR doesn't quite, its more precision-based.
Amethyst, Celestial, or Light wizards would have been way more awesome. I was hoping for Light. Hysh is awesome plus they get cool Nehekharran hats and stuff.

In what way?
Honestly though, they're probably to busy to go after NDA breaches at this point.

Honestly at 34 days from release I doubt Mythic gives a fuck about the NDA aside from major web sites like Joystiq, etc.
They do have a certain contributing factor for the guild if you guys know what I mean.

Maybe. I'm not 100% on this yet.

We're having a very stern "stop flubbing around on alts, idiot" policy

Fixed for true context
I assume he's saying it causes a frame or few of animation for the ability that doesn't fire off.
uhh
It actually kind of creeps me out. To the point where I try to avoid spending time in it.
Worst I've seen is you just sit there for a moment or two while waiting to hit your next ability. I haven't see anything apeshit-weird just yet.
That.
And the screams of forsaken children.
And the music.

Yep. That is all there was in DAOC. You win.

Every goddamn time.
I just parade everything as something I read over on WHA.
I only got through three long ones deleted before I gave up trying.
Also I don't like getting stabbed.
You guys are wussies, I love the inevitable city.
Hell, I make others have fun within it too. I tend to release a certain beast at times to run around and eat others.
It's like, so awesome.
then you better give up tsm and roll order.
because i will be stabbing you.
with a wrench
(in game)
'Course, that's a healer, not dps.
