I don't mind the conservatives getting elected by the people of canada but if they have another minority than why did we just spend all this money and waste all this time 2 years before the law said we should have an election?
Because Harper wanted more seats, and thought he had a good shot at a majority.
And he would've probably had it, too, except the past week he's made some pretty stupid mistakes.
However, I still think the election was unnecessary and I wish we hadn't spent a ton of money just to end up with exactly the same thing again.
On the flip side, however, having a minority with as many seats as it looks like Harper will have means that everyone is going to have to actually show up. The whole '10% or less' attendance will hopefully be a thing of the past.

So there's a silver lining.
and apparently, the tory party members are less than thrilled with how Harper handled this so we might see a new leader getting elected within the party.
which would be nice because he is not exactly inspiring.

Because Stephen "I Don't Govern By Polls" Harper saw a chance to grab enough seats for a majority government, so he jumped in his car, rolled over to Michaëlle Jean's place, seduced her, and then when they were laying back, sharing a cigarette, he asked her to dissolve the government.
I am so happy strathcona didn't elect the liberal candidate.
she was my vice principal and she is a huge bitch who is only doing this because she wants to be important

If only we'd managed to elect the NDP.
Because seriously I hate Rahim Jaffer.
Have I mentioned that lately?
I met Linda Duncun and she is a super lady
That's good to know. Honestly, I just voted NDP because I was given the impression that she had the best chance of beating out Jaffer, and I'm happy to know I voted for a decent person.
I think the Conservatives need to appoint me as their new leader, I'd run on a platform of 'being pretty awesome'.
I hate two conservatives fighting it out in my riding. Edmonton-Sherwood Park. I voted for neither.
Should live where I do...
Rona is hot!
Rona is an incompetent bitch. Then again, Spruce Grove, so I'm not surprised you voted for a pair of tits wrapped in Tory blue.
Spruce Grove AND West Edmonton
I am so embarrassed for my riding
although NDP was a distant second!
How this bitch actually got a degree, let alone a seat in Parliament, is beyond me.

it was a bit of a letdown
aside from a small handful of set pieces towards the end there wasn't enough of a stage show
the venue is probably largest to blame there
Yeah, I can't really disagree here.

If only those fucking Greens hadn't been there.

basically, because i moved at the beginning of september my voter registration card got somehow lost in the shuffle
and i don't have any federally-issued photo ID
oh well
the woman i would've voted for lost
so
not a big deal
One vote.
Blue is an awfully nice color.
Spruce Grove AND West Edmonton

no it can't you shit-head
this isn't ancient athens
the woman i would've voted for lost by a pretty wide margin
a margin that wouldn't have been rectified by my single vote
when people say things like
"i hate people who don't vote"
or
"i don't care who you vote for as long as you do"
or
"if you don't vote, you don't get to complain about the government"
i want to start punching them in the face and not stop
If you don't vote you don't feel like a moron when those people fuck up the country!
How this bitch actually got a degree, let alone a seat in Parliament, is beyond me.

listen i am going to hold you down, put a pair of forceps in the orifice of my arbitrary choosing and i am going to shit inside you, okay?
jesus fucking christ
i am going to unhinge my jaw and eat the head of a small child, i am so angry
"voter jingoism" is so fucking retarded it makes me actually want to murder people
You'll be able to vote in next year's election.
On the flip side, a participation rate of under 60% is pretty terrible.
I'm not saying that a lot of that 40-45% didn't have good reasons not to vote, but it's still a little on the pathetic side.
