School dance thread

So everyone here has gone to school dances. Were you as suave as these guys right here, or did things get ackward? Maybe you broke someone's heart, or perhaps you were the one that was left heartbroken.

In my high school prom, I did not really want to go with a date. I figured I'd just go, dance with my friends, and have fun. Turns out someone asked me out, and I accepted. I quickly lost interest in her because the bitch was not sad that polar bears were going extinct, so I didn't even want to tap that ass. I ignored her and danced with some other girl for the rest of the night. Then I stole all the sandwiches and took them to a party, where she ended up making out with some dude and I spend the night making out with some chick.

We never talked after that. Good riddance. Polar bears are cute, they don't deserve to die.

School dances, huh. Good thing Shibby turned me down. I totally dodged a bullet on that one.

Why is it so difficult to spell 'awkward' correctly

It doesn't even SOUND like 'ackward'

I once tried to convince a friend about the romantic value of potatoes, like in that one bash.org quote.

    She remains unconvinced.

I never went to my Junior or Senior prom.

    Seemed expensive.

I went out with friends instead of going to one of them, and then the other one I think I ended up playing video games with this group of asian guys I knew.

They were not really that fun, most of the time. I do remember in prom, a friend and I put on a breakdancing demo, so that was fun.

I was one of the 'in-between' groups in high school. I'd go to the dances, but I'd never be able to form a 'cool kids dancing circle' by myself, though I'd end up in them regardless.

Ahh, junior high and high school. Such terrible, awkward memories.

The only dances we had were the occassional shindig with the local girls' schools. Just a load of nervous guys going up to the few girls who had hit puberty and asking for a dance. Then the police turn up because adults shouldn't be doing that sort of thing with kids.

I did go to my senior Homecoming dance. I wasn't planning on taking a date but this girl I knew from another school wanted to go to our homecoming and she had to have a date from our school to be let in, so I was that guy.

But when we went to eat with a bunch of my friends before going to the dance, she acted like a total bitch to me and pretty much didn't speak to any of my friends.

So when we got to the dance she didn't want to dance and she wanted to sit on the bleachers instead.

After a few minutes of sitting quietly I got up and started dancing with my best friend's little sister that I've known my entire life. Her date was really drunk so we were like, whatev.

Every now and then I'd look back over to see if my date was still being a bitch on the bleachers. After a while she disappeared and apparently found herself a ride home.

Couple of months later she IMed me out of nowhere and started bitching me out over the whole ordeal. I blocked her and then I heard she moved to Indiana or something.
