I just made a Civire Caldari, and am running through the tutorial for any changes.
I like that they give you a bunch of training books. That makes it so much easier than having to buy them or go to a couple stations or systems over for a better price.
I am also enjoying the upgraded jumping graphics. Very nice.
Skill queue is also great.
I have some awful mouse called a Razer Copperhead. The thing is a jumpy piece of shit and makes the small buttons a problem for me
Rifter with 3 power arrays and Engineering V has 83.75 to 91.25 power grid, depending on the quality of the arrays. A 10mn afterburner uses 50, so you could still fit a webifier (1), scrambler (1), and 4 nos (32).
Not worth it. Unless it's massively diff from when i was subbed the 10mnAB also tacks on like 5000 kg to the mass of your ship while it's active. This isn't a big deal for a cruiser but it makes the frig handle like balls because your inertia modifier is much higher than a cruiser; thus the 20s align time but also translating into a much wider orbital pattern and a complete inability to stop/start in a timely fashion. You can burn ass in a straight line with a tiny siggy though, if you have a nice long running start.
awesome, just wanted to make sure before i left the station for good. i'm still un-corped at the moment so i'm sure someone will kill me. but its nice knowing i can head back there eventually to sell more of my old shit.
You can export and import Overview settings now. So that's pretty awesome. The goon wiki has a nice saved layout already to go once you get back ingame.
Was thinking of coming back to EVE out of boredom but have been unable to regain access to my old accounts and I really don't feel like starting from scratch again...
Wondering if it is still possible to buy isk via timecards, or has CCP sorted that little money-sink out?
Hm. I have a Myrmidon, but it's in someplace called "Mordor Watchtower", 39 hops away. Prrroooobably not a place I can get to.

You can use T2 armor reps, but you can't use T2 DC's or T2 EANM's? I guess the EANM is understandable at Hull Upgrades 5, but the DC2 is like hull upgrades 2.

It's now only allowed through CCP's secure method. Which is basically buy timecode from their list of sellers, post or find someone in the offical timecard selling forum to send it to, then use the securely sell timecard function under account services.
Luckilly all my stuff was in 77s, which is still goonswarm. I sold most of it, packed the rest into my freshly insured ratting raven, and actually flew all the way to C3N with no problems. Then I got fell for some vagabond bait on the C3N gate after dropping off my cargo.
I want to get into fleet fights, but I don't even know the intel channels, and don't have forum access to either merch or goonfleet yet, I'll ask in corpchat tonight about merch forum access.
I think my character is fuck ugly. I want to remake him. Due to bioprocessing, I would like to change his name by one vowel.
Would this be a big deal? I jokingly signed my app with "Sincerely, really big spy" or something, and I'm not sure how that will actually fly over. I am trying to embrace my role as "Obvious spy and traitor".
I meant making a new character. I just made one using the trial last night, so it's not like I'd lose anything. I'll probably go ahead and do it anyway. I'll just have to play it by ear after that.
Can I ask for some sp path advice? I have a relatively new character, Caldari, that is on his way to getting most of the basic skills for fighting to IV. Learning skills currently at 4/3. I'm finishing up my first major skill to V - caldari cruisers - mainly because I could fit it in before the 100% learning bonus ended. The best advice I've received so far is to train up for CovOps with flying a falcon as my eventual goal if I want to be useful in fleet battles at a relatively low SP count without only being able to tackle. Then I found this article: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1032703. Clearly these boats won't be as useful if the changes go through, but they should still have some utility. Thoughts? Is the ECM nerf going to make Caldari covops a waste of time? If so, any other suggestions at this point for goals attainable in a few months?
So merchi moved from e-pros right? I'm assuming its no longer friendly and all that?
Definitely not. I accidentally undocked and couldn't redock. Then some AaA guys ganked me. A great welcome back to EVE.
Hmm. That poses a problem for me since almost all my ships and gear were in the e-pros and neighboring stations.
i can get them out if needed, i'd have to resub first though
Yeah and I'd have to resub as well. I dunno if I will since I don't even know if any of the guys I used to hang with still play. That and they actually took away my merchi board access the bastards.

The better question is, what do you want to do in eve? ECM is a specialist role. ECM ships will still be important in pvp, they just won't be hovering at 200km and almost impossible to kill. You won't be dealing any damage or in the thick of the action. Your goal is to be as far away from the battlefield as possible. It's exciting in it's own way, but no way near as intense as tackling or dps roles. You should try out the t1 caldari cruisers to see what type of role you'd prefer in a fleet.
Blackbirds are a very cheap way of playing about with tackling. Have a go if you want to see what it is like.
With CovOps you can also get Cyno fields and Cov Cyno Fields - which can make you one of the most important keys in the whole fleet. If you are up for that ^_^
If you are going to take eve seriously, then definitely get learning, spatial awareness, to V and maybe the int/mem ones too. Yes it takes a long time to pay off. But if you think you'll be here in a year, you'll be better off!
Have you got EveMon? It lets you set up skill plans, just by choosing a ship or an item you want to be able to use. etc. Very strong.

This won't help you narrow down a specific path, but this should help give you a good, solid foundation of skills that will leave your more specific options open: http://www.kylania.com/eve/skills.php
Patch day tomorrow. The end of long range ECM tactics and the beginning of effective cloaky cloaky stealth bomber swarms. Does anyone want to be jammed by my Rook at 230km for old time's sake?
If you were rejected for any reason, it was one of the following:
1) No PA Forum name, or one you gave had no history
2) You didn't give a PA Forum name
3) Hostile corp in your corp history <6 Months
4) The person who said they were sponsoring you hasn't said anything where they were supposed to on our forum.
Figure out where you went wrong? I dunno. [tiny]Spy[/tiny]

You realize that blackbirds don't tackle...right?
You also realize that you don't need a covops to light a cyno...
Covert cyno fields also happen to be a complete fucking gimmick.

is a nice overview manipulation guide.
Good luck, may as well re-apply to MerchI now since it can take a while for them to clear the applications.

Yes, we're still good friends with RA. Be careful, though -- there might be roaming fagbands from AAA during euro time.

It is far and away better than it was 6 months ago or whenever it was I played last. Getting books for free is great!
The Dirty Russians own it now so if you have a bunch of assets there GL with that.
Layout:
Drone Linke Augmentor I
Small Tractor Beam I x2
Salvager I x2
F-b 10 Normal Cap Regen
Damage Control I
Medium Armor Repairer II
EANM I
1600mm Reinforced Titanium I
It's not great, but I was down to 25M and don't see myself ratting in 0.0 until I get back into MerchI.
What system? I can tell you if it's safe pretty quickly. Check the info of the station and figure out where in the galaxy it actually is.

I think there is a paid service to change your image, not sure. Personally I don't particularly care about it.
Signing, as a spy, weeeell...... no idea.
you won't like it nothing really happens on those forums
yeah, and the fact that i don't speak russian doesn't help much either
Just getting Goonfleet forums access pretty much allows you to read the AAA forums, anyways, or atleast the good threads.
To be fair, I'm sure the reverse is true as well.

If you can't live for the now, at least live for the future.
... weird.

You were right about evemon, though.
