I remeber reading ages ago that part of the plans for season mode was to let you sell gift cars at a decent price. A real shame they didn't follow through with that, tbh.
I mentioned this in the old thread. I was pretty fucking annoyed when I learned the truth. It's bullshit that they would say they were doing it and then just...not.
I can't even imagine what kind of exploit it tries to stop. Were they worried people would grind up to level 50 on a dummy account, gift all the cars, then sell them?
I could make more money than that hiring a low ranking driver for an endurance race.
If you've tried to reduce one of the more high-number categories in the tuning section using the wheel's D-pad (for instance, changing spring rate from the 700s to the 300s), you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
So it doesn't work like Forza 2 where you could turn the wheel to raise/lower tuning settings much faster?

Just remember that half the people you meet are below average intelligence.
DISLIKED:
-I'm hoping this might change the further I get into career mode, but there's nothing I hate more than constantly getting stuck at the back of the starting line, especially when my car's 100+ PI higher than every other car on the track. Double especially on the short and narrow tracks with almost no passing opportunity, triple extra especially on those early races where there's only two laps.
Seriously! What the fucking shit is that about? I can understand that T10 doesn't want to make you go through the monotony of qualifying for every single race, but how about making it optional? You can choose to qualify and hopefully get a better position or you can skip quali and start from the back.

Or how about just plain mixing it up? The game randomly chooses a number between 1 and 8, and you start there, so it's different for almost every race.
I think public multiplayer is just weird. I was playing last night with some PA folks, and got rammed off the road several times. Wow, are PA folks really that inconsiderate. Then I watched the recording of the session. I was being warped into. They were staying well clear of me, and then wham, teleported into me, and then jumped back. Not actually their fault.

Yeah...I think you are talking about me...and on my screen you rammed me both times. Hopefully it gets better. I am definitely not as smooth a driver with the wheel as I am with the controller. You guys will have to forgive me if I am mis-shifting or whatever every now and then while I get used to it.
Huh, I see that one of my opponents in the C class world championship is driving an '06 S204 Impreza so I decide to buy one, only problem is it doesn't show up in the store, what gives?
The s204 is a 'unicorn' car. Or a car that you can only get by winning Turn 10 competitions or by buying it off of the auction house....so it is extremely rare.
Regarding unicorn cars, by "turn 10 competitions" do you mean career mode, or some special online event?

So I made a cool mt. dew themed Elise and I decided to add megaman to my Murcielago. Problem is there seems to be a problem with the vinyl editor. If I make a square with size 10 and then make another of the same size which is 10 units to the left, the square on the left covers a little of the one on the right. It's really strange. This happening to any of you? By the way the original square was black while the one on the left was white (not that it should make a difference, but the squares should be lining up anyway).
FM1 and FM2 had this problem too.. it's a combination of rounding errors and smoothing that makes it happen.
It's good to know that I'm not losing my mind.
In other news I thought that all Lamborghini's were RWD like Ferrari's, then I saw that the Murcielago is AWD. It's an amazing machine, so incredible to drive. I can't wait to get a Reventon.
That book had better have been written by Carroll Smith, mister.
I bought his 'Tune to Win' for FM2.. and read it cover to cover. Not sure I got much more than a broad understanding, and a frustration with Forza hiding data from me (ie, drag coefficient).

I raced against someone in an A class Murcielago yesterday. Bloomin' fast those things I couldn't catch up to him at all - I may have to buy one
That is pretty cool. I know mspencer uses a 914 as well. We should pick a class and then all upgrade 914s for racing in that class and then have a race.

Yeah, Audi (well, Volkswagen Group, anyway) bought Lamborghini a while back and now their cars are AWD.
So I heard someone got banned from the storefront for posting a breast cancer awareness vinyl group. Yeah, it got reversed after Destructoid raised a stink but hey, knee-jerk much?
Oh man, I just bought a C6 Z06 (in blue of course, Blue Devil woo!) for the Class A Championship and having only driven Class C cars up until now... This car drives so beautifully it brings a tear to my eye.

It was done because it used the phrase "Save the ta-tas", which some people found offensive, but is an actual motto used by the foundation. They banned him because he had gotten a bunch of offensive content reports for it and then reversed it when they were alerted to the foundation's use of the phrase.

You should go get Ayo Jube's free Captain America design for it. It's awesome.

The controllers are tied to the account you're signed in as, I think. It's why the switching of instruments and accounts was so bulky in Rock Band

Special online event. They will also very rarely post them in the auction house for people to buy.

Though while looking I managed to score an R8 5.2 for 121k.
I scored one for free when I hit level 20.
I hear that. Such a great car that gets so little love.
Heh, d'oh. Ah well, don't really want to wait that long anyway (only level 7).
So much validation is yours.
