Amy: "Where's the manual?"
Doctor: "I threw it into a supernova."
Amy: "You threw the manual into a supernova? Why?"
Doctor: "Because I disagreed with it! Stop talking to me when I'm annoyed!"
I think he is a bit more than Micky 2.0, but I'm still not sure Amy would be happy living in a little boring village like he wants, but maybe Rory has changed what he wants. I was surprised she chose him instead of The Doctor.

I think we are meant to take him cutting off his ponytail as changing what he wants
There was a lot of yellow in this episode. Leadworth seemed to have a fairly boring colour palette with no obvious colour schemes. But yellow seemed to stand out.
The children's bags
The home minivan
the baby's bedroom
there was something else but I forget what it was
and looking at next week's preview
could be me looking at it too hard but there were two more instances
The child's jumper
The machinery

Ah, it was symbolic, I see, I see. Good for Rory!
Besides, The Doctor is amazing, but he's her childhood imaginary friend. Rory is the guy who was always there, and even used to dress up as the raggedy doctor for her. Of course she chose him
also, dialogue that i might have misheard or caught out of context?
back in dream-leadworth when they were discussing what happened to the doctor after 5 years, they said something like "he got shot for us" or something like that, i remember hearing the word shot
maybe for the last episode river will shoot the doctor when he protects rory and amy or something?

Isn't that when Rory & Amy run away and leave him with the old people?

I'm pretty sure it was "of" not "for" which gives it a completely different meaning.

Quoth, you know how adults would tell you when you were a kid that everything was going to be all right but you knew that they were lying? Everything's going to be all right.

Okay..time for some spec about the latest episode.
The dreamlord, being who he is...is giving us an interesting perspective of things with a few hints..
"Amy ive seen your dreams...some of them twice amy"
The whole 'one world is real, the other is fake'....while it applies to this episode of course, it may also be talking about the 'other doctor'
"One reality was never enough for you doctor, take two" same duality hint. Like hes going down the same path twice...just differently.
"There was a Doctor from gallifrey, who ended up throwing his life away...he let down his friends.."
Almost like hes remembering what he did already...
" I know who you are" "No you dont" "Of course i do, Theres only one person in the universe that hates me as much as you do"
This is a little emo for Dr. Who....sure hes got reason to dispise himself after what happen to his people...twice..but he rarely shows it like this. I think theres more to it then that. its like he really failed at something more personal then the gallifrey thing...
"He always leaves you doesnt he....alone in the dark."
"Spooky old, not to be trusted...me"
"Is that who you think you are? the one he trusts?"
"So whats his name?"
He knows the doctor is lying or hiding something from amy. the 'whats his name' question is very curious...why would he ask that question?....This almost makes me wonder about the 'river song is amy' theory.
"He was offering us a choice between two dreams..." "How do you know that"..."Because i know who he is".
Another curious comment...
Best line ever:
"This is my life now and it just turned you white.as.a.sheet....so dont call it dull ever again."
My theory is pretty general...but i think something really bads going to happen around the 10th episode..amy is going to die or the doctor is going to screw up something royally and decide to cross his own timeline to fix things....this creates the crack....But its so important to him that hes letting it happen to fix the event, then deal with the crack later.

I'm halfway through the 2005 season, coming around to Eccleston (I liked Smith immediately), but Billie Piper is still pretty annoying and her lips are like two hindenburgs, just waiting to be explosively deflated.

i liked the character development, and i guess rory is a bit more than mickey 2.0

Great episode
I'm pretty sure it was "of" not "for" which gives it a completely different meaning.
I never could come around to Rose. I know she's very popular, especially with the newer who fans, but I'm a old fogie and set in my ways.
Sarah Jane & Donna all the way!
eat one million dalek shaped poops
I'll assume you are just lashing out. It's okay, you'll move on... there are other assistants in the sea!
Everything's going to be all right.
I felt that way when this happened, too. And I super-missed Rose forever.
But Amy is awesome and I like that the dynamic is different now.

I guess she's smarter than rose and stuff

the peruvian folk band line killed me.
That would have been awesome.
