My intent was to read a little on the car ride to the airport then continue when I got back because the book is huge but I decided I just had to lug it all the way to australia so I could keep reading

Goddamn i'm glad I checked SE++ today. Love this series so much! It took me a really long time to even learn just how... big the story had gotten. I first learned of it by picking up a copy of Disney Adventures Magazine while out and about as a youngin, and that comic was in the back. I picked up a subscription just for that comic alone, and after they stopped running the comic the first time I dropped the magazine. They had run bits and pieces from the first book "Out from Boneville" and that was where the story had left off for me for 10+ years.
One day a few years ago I got nostalgic for the series, tracked down the big "all in one" fucker and read that in a night. One of the best adventures I've had, and I'm so glad I randomly remembered it and completed that story.
I'd kinda like for Telltale to go back and give the series a fresh start on the game front, use everything they learned to make a better interactive experience. It's such a great story and it needs to be told to those kids who are afraid of them there comic books.
So, after reading this thread I decided to get a copy of Bone and started reading.
It's neat so far. Really nice art. Kinda hope it gets a little more interesting further along, but so far the characters are entertaining enough to keep me reading.
Reminds me a little of Digger, which is pretty good.
So apparently there are Bone novels now? Wikipedia has mentions but nothing specific and there is apparently not a single fan wiki of any worth so that was a bust too.
I'd really rather not go to Barnes and Noble to look for this. Always asking me if I want that new fangled robot book thing. . .

Don't get me wrong, CG is great when it's done right. Pixar certainly knows the business, and Dreamworks is pretty good about it.
But it seems like a lot of studios are opting to use CG more and more over the years just because it's the popular thing now, and it's cheaper.
And they tend to yield cheaper looking results, like those newer Mickey Mouse series, and Tigger and Pooh.
It feels sometimes like we've hit the CG equivalent of the Hannah Barbera era, where cartoons are getting churned out by the dozen, and they all look like crap.

Also if you get the omnibus it may actually break her brittle young bones trying to read it.
glad I did
that's good, though, because it's overcome.

wildly different from Bone but very intelligent and well made
I think it'd be pretty boss if they made a traditionally animated Bone film.
its how shit works
I had my film teacher explain this exact thing the other day
some companies make up to 80% of their income selling properties that are suddenly in high demand

Check your local library, if you have one. Bone's a popular item to stock.
Why I fear the ocean.
I'll look into that.

It's awesome.
I am excited to hear about the movie!
I'd prefer it be traditional animation, though.
i really, really want to though.
Yeah me too, actually.

Bale may froth a bit too much at the mouth over GoT and the like, but this? I feel that he is onto something.
