I'm still astonished that they're doing everything right with this game
It's so easy, and considering Nintendo, probable, that they would mess this up
They're actually doing all the things they should be doing
i'm still annoyed that they're doing the splatoon model of gating content, that shit is frustrating, and no amount of well we're letting you learn the game's tools before just handing you everything will make me think it's a good thing.

And then if it turns out that you are overwhelmed, maybe give you the option to go back and do it the other way.
I'm generally not a big fan of game designers telling me how I should interact with their product. I'm a big boy, if I want to have access to everything I paid for right now I shouldn't have to mess with the system clock to get it.

They name their save file "Merryo" as a joke on pronunciation, like "Mary O." is n
I wish timestamps worked with YouTube embeds because it does take almost four minutes to get to that point, which I had forgotten about when I posted it.
On the one hand, a Super Mario Bros Crossover thing with the costumes would be really cool, on the other, that's deviating pretty far from the main intent of this game and they're already giving us so much that it feels almost greedy to ask for more.

I was expecting it to drop Mario off into a pit. The fact that it actually takes you to the end and launches a mystery shroom you can never actually get is wonderful.

Like, Sonic is way faster at running and jumping but can't stop on a dime, Megaman's jump isn't as far, etc.
Other than that, this will be a game where I pick up, don't really touch the level editor, and play all the levels other people create.

I don't think you can. Goomba shoe can for sure but I've seen the wings fall off yoshi eggs in the editor.
Also the SMW Koopa troops seem to be omitted purposefully to keep Yoshi limited
