Going to play HotAC tomorrow with a friend of mine. Hes played through part of it by himself before. We're going to do 2 ships each from the start. I'm going to fly 2 Y-Wings and he is doing 2 X-Wings.
Really looking forward to finally checking it out.
When attacking you may roll 1 additional attack die if the the shot is obstructed. (0 points)
When attacking with a primary weapon, the defender has to spend 1 focus token, if possible.
When defending, the attacker has to spend 1 focus token, if possible. (4 points)
Okay. Trick shot is beautiful and I will run that on TIE/sfs all day long.
Or would, except it looks to only be in Heroes. I really want to use that on Backdraft with Collision Detector. Dive through debris to get extra defense and then have 3 dice+auto crit out the back.

Played the first mission of Heroes of the Aturi Cluster. It was a lot of fun! I tricked out my Y wings with Proton Torpedo, R2 units and vectored thrusters. i was able to make use all all three cards, which was nice. I personally took out 3 ties and damaged 2 others. I ended up with a ton of EXP after the mission so I picked up TLT, and saved the rest of my EXP so I can level my ships up.
Also new FAQ has some pretty major changes.
Notably: Deadeye is now Small Ship Only.
Heavy Scyk title adds a Hull.
No cheating 2 focus with Attani Mindlink+Recon Specialist.
Combat flowchart updates.

23 points? That's pretty competitive. 2 extra crew slots than a naked bwing for 1 point?

The FAQ's are really interesting as they changed the wording of several cards dramatically. I'm still reading through right now but I'm happy that Triple Jumpmaster's is dead.
And I can still use Deadeye Nera Dantels!
I don't like the new ruling on stress and revealing a red maneuver. I could maybe see it being a negative and unfun thing with new players but it's hilarious when you catch the buddy who introduced you to the game doing it and you get to fly their ship off the table!
Is it just me or does the U-wing not look at all like a transport ship? It doesn't look big enough with that cockpit bump.
From the top, it certainly looks a lot more like a fighter than it does a shuttle or troop transport.
But looking at it from the side or the views from the Rogue 1 trailers it's got a big fat box under it where you can stash a cast of ground troops and gear.
Probably not comfortably, but they'll fit.

Ah, can't see the underside from the card or the model from FFG's site.

Yeah, don't forget the tie bomber is used as a transport too.

I haven't played in a while so while I know that the U boat strategy is fielding 3 Jumpmasters, how is the strategy gone now?
Deadeye was changed to small ship only. The big advantage U-Boats had was a crippling alpha strike of 3 torpedoes that were launched with focus tokens and then modded with Guidance Chips and an R4 Agromech (acquire a TL after spending a focus) or Overclocked R4 (after spending a focus token, may receive a stress token to get a new focus token). A FAQ from a few months ago made it slightly more difficult to use the astromechs.
The change to Deadeye makes it so Triple Jumpmasters can only shoot torps using an actual no-crap Target Lock.
Been running this officially at my local comic store since it came out, surprised I never posted in this thread. Then again I rarely leave G+T. Debating on running HotAC but don't want to spend hundreds printing it out, anyone know what specifically needs to be printed to save some cash?
Otherwise the latest FAQ is surprising...first time FFG really made heavy card alterations IMHO. U-Boat nerf is not too surprising although to be honest, the only reason was because they nuked mostly rebel builds. Been winning with that build too long anyways, time to go back to Rebs. Also for those that haven't flown arcs try them out, they are seriously competitive. Just take Biggs...even with the nerf, always take Biggs.

I'm going to pitch running a second night of it, but I'd expect they only have tables for it once a week.

Why does that picture have a round radar dish, it should have the rectangle!
It is the new generic pilot so that ship is supposed to be some random YT-1300 not the Millennium Falcon.

Sabine's TIE spoiled!
There's an EMP!

also asteroids damage on a crit? has that always been true?
and now if you reveal a red maneuver while stressed, it's treated as a white 2 straight

they can still get partial value out of it with that Dengar/Manaroo list
Yes it has been.
This new change is to deal with collision detector and similar stuff.
Also garbage chute.
Now to nuke soontir and defenders from orbit
They should be countered by rebel lists that were previously murdered by the uboats
They spoiled every card aside from the Zeb pilot:
Upgrade cards:
The EMP is an AMAZING illicit card.
Crew:
Pilots:
New Condition card:
And they also spoiled the Generic U-wing:

Does Nien make it green? ;-)

Just sails along next to enemy ships hacking them to death and they can't shoot her until she is the only one left alive or higher than PS9.
Only 21 points.
This is the interior of the ship, you can see how big it is:
Compare that to the exterior:
I didn't realize Captured TIE was a mod, now how do you stress out your target/victim?
If it is an imp ace with PTL they probably have one.

Don't do this to me
The "you" in this case, is the pilot that has this card on them, right? Not the player?
IE if I put suppressive fire on your tie advanced, your tie fighter can't attack Rex to remove it.
Correct.
